Yes, I already signed up for the race. I was going to go for a run today at Mount Trashmore, but seeing that they haven't even cleaned the roads leads me to believe that the park is not cleaned out either. I will go to the gym and find something to do there. Maybe use the TM and cry about it emoticon
I am definitely going for a run on Sunday since the temps will be higher, and who knows, maybe it melts some of this white stuff. I used to run in colder, snowy conditions but the roads and sidewalks used to be cleaned off. I won't chance it here.

What major are you looking for?

Yeah, I know your feelings, but at least you have time to figure it out. My godmother was a physical therapist and she loved it! Although Nuclear Medicine sounds kind of awesome! What year are you?

I am a junior at Regent University, but I am I am looking for different universities for my Master. I feel the need to spread my wings. I do like Political Science, it is one of those majors which annoys me and makes me love it. Idk, I still have some time to figure it out. ODU seems like a good school, though. I pass by it sometimes when I am in Norfolk. Hopefully, you get it all sorted out!

I went out running today (well, the gym) and it was really a struggle. I did it though but can say that it sucks starting back from the beginning... Oh, well it can only get better from here on out. I probably will be running in the gym this week as the snow melts and it is freezing outside. I was thinking of running on Sunday's outdoors since it is usually the longest run.

Let me know when you sign up! I am so excited to wear all green!!! Can't wait until it starts warming up! I miss the warm weather (I am from Florida).

I haven’t decided about school. Ultimately, I want to go into Physical Therapy, but I need to finish my undergrad first. I am in between Nuclear Medicine and Technology or Cytotechnology at ODU. Both programs are highly competitive and they only admit about 12 students per year….which means the odds are against me.
So, after your political science, you are not going to pursue that longer? Nutrition is an interesting subject as well. Which school are you at?

I need to register for the 8K today! I have been busy all weekend and put that off. Now I am trying to deal with ODU Admissions office and getting transcripts sent there. Ugh! emoticon

Definitely let me know when you want to go for a run. My pain is (almost) gone and I need a run ASAP. I am up 2 lbs just because I haven’t ran in over a week. It is going to be cold this week, but I am still going out.

    Have a great Monday!

Oh, my goodness... that would be so brilliant!! I just registered today, so the countdown begins! I am so nervous and excited!!! I can't wait! What are you going to school for? I am a poli-sci major, which means I have to read a lot. The running days for me are Tues., Thurs., and Sun., which works out great because those are my non-school days. Ideally I would love to go to the park to run on Sundays since it is usually the longer distances. Hiking is so much fun, though. I miss the mountains! That is so awesome that you used to volunteer, definitely do not give that up! I know what you mean, I am trying to make living healthier more of an active part of my life. I have of late been thinking of pursuing nutrition on a more serious level as I start thinking what I am going to be doing after next year. IDK, I may be thinking too far ahead, but anyway I am so ready to look back at the end of the year and say "Yes, I really did it!"

I am 4’11’’. If I just wear green, I will look like a leprechaun regardless emoticon

I think that if you start following the 10K plan now, you will be ready for the 8K (~5 miles) in March. The atmosphere and the people around you will help push you to that finish line. I cannot quite explain it, but something in races makes you want to go on.
In about a year, you would be looking back with satisfaction – and you will realize how worth it, it all was. Trust me, that feeling is amazing and you will find yourself wanting to achieve more. Just enjoy the ride….

Maybe in about a year, you can post and say that you ran a half marathon!

I have no plans when I run, lately I usually just go when I feel like it. Just let me know when you want to run, and I can make myself available. Right now I am jobless and school won’t start until August so I am wide open. I can go any distance and any tempo. With this injury, I do not see me going long or fast.

As far as other hobbies…I am slowly putting being active as my hobby. You know, hiking, biking, swimming etc. I used to love sitting down, reading and drinking wine way too much emoticon Although I still do that, I do it much less now. I love animals and used to volunteer a lot back in Kansas. So I need to pick that up again.
