Had some heart trouble for a few months. Ended up having a heart cath, which showed blockages in several arteries, but not enough to medically correct the blockages. Fortunate wake up call for me. Read some books on reversing heart disease, and I have been following a vegan diet for 3 months now. I am feeling better, but not 100%. This is a big wake up call. Do or die. I choose life. Try reading Dr. Dean Ornish's book on reversing heart disease. It is almost easier to give it all up than to have to choose and cheat. Think about it. If you decide to go Vegan, let me know, I'm here to support you and help you. Oh, by the way, you will eliminate pounds too!

My vegan lifestyle has really changed how I feel. I can't believe how changing your diet to plant based fodds can make a big difference. I feel recharged today. I have been given a 2nd chance and will improve my health by improving my eating habits and exercise habits.

Stay under 1500 calories a day. All 500 extra calories for 1 day a week, so that I don't set myself up for failure.
Exercise 4-5 times a week.

I like to read, knit, golf, travel (especially cruises) and this past year I discovered that II like to go to the gym.
