MY page background is a picture collage I created of the Farmer's Market in Kelowna B.C. Canada

Alot of personal stuff has changed in my life due to aging. I no longer have my dog, have a cat now. Gave up my community garden plot as can't do what I used to. One advantage, get to visit all the wonderful public gardens, that I never seemed to have had the time to do before.

My Goals:
I have surpassed my goal weight. It has taken many years, as I have reached each goal weight twice before and now this is my third success.

I focused on 5 lbs loses, doing it in baby steps. Not worrying about the total lbs that I really had to loose.

This is an update, goal weight surpassed.

My new habits for a healthier ME:

I have replaced all poor food choices of the past.

I really hate the thought and the word EXERCISE!

Though I realize it is very important for a healthier mind and body.

My choices lean towards activities that I enjoy doing and can do well into my late senior years.

Such as walking, swimming. aqua-size.
Stretching, sit ups, using an exercise ball and stretch ropes to stengthening my muscles and bones, along with using my treadmill, when the weather is poor.

Personal Information:
I believe I have reached the Age of perfection, in mind body and spirit.

My hobbies include:

Sewing & Crafts
Painting with acrylics, because no place to store wet oils on canvas.

I enjoy writing non-fiction stories, poetry and song lyrics.

Hi Ann, I can certainly relate to your comment on 'EXERCISE'. I'd rather incorporate it into activities I enjoy but I too have to give up gardening. I need to see the chiropractor after each time I garden. I try to get on the excercise bike while watching the news or walking in place although I get bored easily. Barb

Thanks for the welcome. I love your pics. I too have changed my lifestyle mine based on injuries, but living each day to the fullest is what I believe and I do my best and that is all I can ask for.

I see you are very knowledgeable on garden matter very interested on what you have to say being a three year community vegetable grower. This year I tried to go organic and only used cow manure even though I planted pretty late in the season my garden did pretty well. We dug up the strawberry patch this year because it was taking over the whole plot.
