........that I try this again.

I've been out of the loop for so long and feel so guilty about it. The last time I made an attempt was back in 2009. But life has been hard for the past 4 years and heaven forbid that I'm a stress eater too!

Over the course of the past 4 years we moved to another state, I've had my son get married and move to Canada, my daughter graduate and just be a normal hormonal teen! Then my mother took ill and was in and out of hospitals for 3 years. I lost my mom 11/14/12 and I still cry almost every day because of it. Just 5 days before she passed away we lost my former mom in law to a brain tumor. I loved her dearly and it was a very sad week for us.

Now over the course of the past 6 months my dad has had a pacemaker put in, two weeks later fell and broke his hip, and then had knee replacement surgery and then he ended up with a severe staph infection which required hospitalization again. With mom mother gone it's up to me to help take care of my dad so I've spent about 4 months this year staying at his house.

But my mail reason for getting back on my diet is that the doctor informed me the other day that I might be borderline diabetic and that between my weight and all of the stress in my life at the moment that I'm going to end up dying if I don't make any changes.

So here I am again. Time to make those changes.

My Goals:
To not be embarassed when I look in the mirror.

To be able to have a family portrait taken and not be disgusted by what I see.

To have the self-confidence that I used to have so long ago.

My Program:
I've clipped on my pedometer and try for at least 10,000 steps per day. I'm also going to use the treadmill at least 5 times per week.

I'm also trying to log in everything that I eat, even the tiny packets of Taco Bell sauce whenever I eat there! And I'm definitely reading every label because I'm being treated for high blood pressure and I have high cholesterol too. Which I'm working on getting rid of.

Personal Information:
I'm 52, married and living in Georgia. I've got a son that's married and living in Alberta, Canada and I still have a teen daughter at home.

I'm a terrible stress eater and have gone through a ton of stressful things over the past 4 years. More than my fair share if I do say so myself!

Other Information:
I go through spurts where I like to read and when I do I love to read historical romances that take place in Scotland before the 1600's. I'm going to Scotland in a few years and hopefully spending the night in a medival castle.
