For my old friends, and anyone new who finds my sparkpage,

I am now 55 I started on SP in 2009, and used it religioiusly until I fell off the wagon, soon after I found another site I liked and haven't been around much.

Not much has changed, I have gained back all but 15 of the 53 pounds I lost starting in 2011. But I never stopped trying, I've kept my jogging going, but let my food get out of control.

I live and work in China. And during the winter, I routinely watch Biggest Loser and think, I should do that.

A couple years ago, I started on SP, lost 30# (needed to lose 100#) and kept it off for more than a year, but never got back on track.

In Dec 2011, my kids challenge me to do a family Biggest Loser contest with them... that got me fired up and in year I was down below 300# for the first time in five years. But now, I'm back at 334#.

I am working to get myself to 220# before my 55th birthday which will occur in July 2015.

I have big goals for this year, I want to run the Great Wall 1/2 marathon, a 10k this summer, and break 30:00 on a 5k some time this year. Just want to break 30:00.

I now weigh (1-7-2014) 344.5# , and it's time to get working again.

My Program:
I started walking.. then a little WOGGING... in Jan my mile was 18:39... today (8-15-12) it's 13:33...

I also have taken up swimming... though the past few weeks have been frustrating because of summer in China.

GYM - I need to get back into lifting, I am happier, stronger, and feel better.

    I see you are back at it! AWESOME! I send you all my best for great success! Just make some small, "easy to do" changes in your life. As they become habits, add to them, one by one. When they are easy to do, we tend to do them. The more you do them, the more healthy habits you will create! I'll be checkin' on ya from time to time! Go GETTUM! Take care and God Bless.

    Hey there. Great to hear from ya! Congrats on the new job. Things are OK here. I'm out of my routine and not exercising much right now but I have re-committed to it! So far in Sept., I've done more than last 3 months combined.I've only put on about 10 pounds in the last 4-5 months. not good but not HORRIBLE either. Still a net loss of about 140 lbs. I just spent the weekend at my brother's house for a 3 day food fest. I'm definitely in need of some workout time. I did walk/jog Saturday morning about 3 miles and rode a bike about 3 miles on Sunday. Not a totally "unhealthy" weekend. LOL
