I am now a 72 year old, obese, wife, mother, and grandmother, sister & aunt from Pennsylvania. I have been eating smarter. Had lost a significant amount of weight. Then gained about 80 lbs. back, from the end of 2016 to 2018. Slowly turned it around again in 2019. Now, in 2021, I am committing to get back to healthier eating, moving more, and living healthier! I need motivation to exercise, make myself go out. I am striving to sleep 5 hours most nights, eat cleaner, smarter, and dump the negative mental messages. I need to avoid junk..both in my food choices and life! Avoiding Stress and anxiety is a battle. But, I was made for this Covid Quarantine ! An excuse to Not Have To Go Out! Not Good For Me. But, I CAN ~ I WILL ~ and I WON'T QUIT!

My Goals:
To eat smarter.
Break the dessert habit.
be able to walk easier, and for a longer distance.
To be comfortable exercising.
Or, comfortable going OUT .
And every day move more, smile, and learn something, be able to count at least one blessing to be thankful for, and to sleep at least 5 hrs. a night.



My Program:
Think Eat..no more mindless eating!
But DO NOT Think about what people say, think, and do when they look at me.
Move some everyday!
Stay Motivated!
Keep Blood Glucose low and level.
Lights out by 11 p.m., shut off the thought train, and SLEEP!



Personal Information:
Oldest of 7, grew up on a street with 30 or more cousins,12 Aunts
and uncles. Huge, Happy Irish Catholic Family. Married and moved 3 miles away. Still on my starter house and my starter husband. Both in need of heavy maintanence!
Married 43 Yrs. in April 2017. We have two beautiful, brilliant daughters, and 3 bright, handsome grandsons.
Our granddog, Finch lives with us.


Other Information:
Taught Nursery School till 2002.
Love to read,History, mysteries, and biographies.
Love Cookbooks...used to love cooking and baking, decorating cakes. Can't really do it now-a-days.
Am fairly new to computers... not very adept yet..but thinking I need a 12 step program to cut back on time spent on-line, FaceBook, E-mail,
Ancestry, and yes...SPARK.

    Thanks for the compliment on my crocheted prayer shawl. I've made many over the years and enjoy doing it for others. I used the Homespun yarn for the blue/turquoise one. Makes it come out so soft and pretty. Not always the easiest to work with but I like the final look and feel of them better than anything else.

    And how nice that we share grandchildren making their first communion in common. :)
