05/16/2019 UPDATE: I have 28 of the 57 pounds back off. I would be farther along but I wasn't logging my food. I was eating more calories than I thought I was. I'm working out three times a week at the gym. A combination of logging food and exercising has gotten the pounds coming back off. PLUS: I feel so much better.

11/08/2018 UPDATE: I have 24 of the 57 pounds back off. I bought a new shirt a couple of days ago. It is a size smaller and it feels great.

08/12/2018 UPDATE: I have 15 of the 57 pounds back off. It's feeling easier this time as I am making it a life style change, not a diet.

06/12/2018 It has been 10 years since I joined Sparkpeople. Back then, I lost 75 pounds. Reality is, I have gained back 57 of those pounds. I leveled out and have been holding the same weight for a while now. I am grateful that I have not gained it ALL back plus some as I have heard some people do. A trip to the doctor showed me my blood pressure is up some. I realize that my weight is not just about my size, but is about my health. I'm back once again to Sparkpeople for support and the wonderful tools it offers. I CAN DO THIS !!

My journey continues. I have not been able to stay focused long enough to keep the scale moving down. I write my goals here then don't look at them again. Starting today 2014 will be MY YEAR to reach my weight loss goal. I will reach them ONE DAY AT A TIME !!!

1/13/2013 Happy New Year !!! I'm coming up on my 5 year Spark anniversary. Since I joined in March of 2008 I may have missed a few days on Spark but for the most part I've been active. I lost 75 pounds in the first year and began to learn to maintain. NOT EASY. I did very well until our good friend passed away in 2011. Even with that I have only gained back 20 of 75 pounds. Last Sunday I began a challenge to get back to logging my food every day. I was successful for 7 days and show a loss of 5 pounds. Note: I have also been sick and have not been able to exercise like I want too. Point is: It's a lifelong journey. One that I am enjoying. This is not the first time I have lost weight but it is the first time I have not lost control and gained it all back. I look forward to a GREAT 2013.

11/28/2012 MY NEW GOALS!!! I am hanging in here although it has not been easy. I reached my weight goal of 145 back in the summer of 2009. I am back to 161.4 as of this morning but I am thankful that it is not back to 220 or more. TODAY IS A NEW DAY and here is what I'm working on. The 5 mile trail run that I have done for the last two years is coming up in February. I'm going to start training for that. I will get back on the treadmill and when my new padals get here (any day now) I will get back on my stationary bike. My goal is to be back to 145 pounds by the trail run.

I want to step up my fitness level. I was able to jog a portion of the annual 5K this year. My goal is to add more strength training so I can get stronger.

3/1/2008 I live in the big state of Texas. I have two beautiful daughters and a great husband of 28 years. He is 5'9 and about 145 so I look like two ton tessy next to him. I don't want to look that way anymore. AND I look way older and he has been mistaken for our daughter's husband. I will look younger.

5/6/09 I am no longer two ton tessy. Now I can fit into Donald's pants.
