I am re-committing myself to lose the weight and get healthy again. I want to be able to play with my two grandchildren without getting out of breath or too tired. I'm overweight, well, ok...fat. (yes, I actually admitted it) I've never smoked but I do have exercise induced asthma (go figure, LOL), obstructive sleep apnea, and acid reflux. After research on these, I found one could be the cause of the other and they all could be caused from being overweight. Most days, I eat as few processed foods as possible but sometimes life happens and I eat unhealthy but I start back over again. I will do my best to get the excess weight off and keep it off for good. I'm a work in progress.

My Goals:
I am wanting to lose weight carefully so I don't re-gain as I did years ago when I had lost down to 130 (ended up having my gallbladder removed because I lost 50 in 3 months, way too quick). I hope this will also help reduce my cholesterol, acid reflux, sleep apnea and increase my energy so I can keep up with my granddaughter and grandson that will be here May 2011!

My Program:
1. I WILL incorporate 5 fruits & vegetables throughout my meals per day.
2. I WILL drink at least 6 glasses of water per day (and stop drinking sodas).
3. I WILL choose leaner cuts of meat.
4. I WILL do my exercise of the morning to get my metabolism started.

This is NOT a diet. It's a life-style change....a way of life!

I think I will sell all my "diet" books 'cause all I need is 'The Spark' and SparkPeople. ;-D

    The flowers and blossoms are filling the air with the smells of Spring. This is the time to start preparing for the Summer. Are you ready to join a Challenge? The Biggest Loser Challenge is looking for members for it’s next Challenge starting the first week of June. The challenge consists of 11 Teams, that participate in 10 weeks of Nutritional and Fitness Challenges. These challenges can be modified to fit individual needs, allowing members of all abilities and dietary needs to participate.

    I haven't done well at all!!
    Everytime I start or re-start, I do well for the first few weeks but then something always happens to knock me down and it takes forever to get going again. What's up with that?? I have to figure out a way to NOT get knocked down. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. emoticon
