26, single, and about to be happy with myself and my weight for the first time in 20 some years...I know it won't happen over night, but I know my goal is attainable...I want to be a new me by this time next year!

I've never been a healthy weight at any age...I was 205 lbs in 6th grade and the teasing from kids echoed in my ears until high school. I, sadly, was anorexic for 3 years, from 6-9th grade. Not only did I do horrible damage to my body, I actually GAINED 10lbs. I have always been active. I LOVE to play sports! I was on basketball, volleyball, tennis and golf teams basically from age 6 to age 18. But no matter how little I ate or how much I worked out, I couldn't lose the weight.

In college, I did ok for awhile. I lost the freshmen 15 instead of gaining, I was finlly ok with who I was...I was happy and surounded by close friends. Then, my Junior year, my best guy friend basically told me I was not pretty enough to be his friend. Yeah. That was tough. The worst part was...I agreed with him then. I slipped into depression and back into some of the anorexic behaviors I thought I rid myself of. (Realizing now, of course, that eating disorders of any kind are often lifelong struggles) The next year, I was diagnosed with PCOS...leading me into the darkest point of my depression.

To make a long story short, between the depression; going from eating nothing to eating everything I could (bing and purge basically); and getting my first job where I sat behind a desk, they had clients bring in free food almost everyday and I stopped being as active...I gained 50 pounds in about 3 years. I did some yo-yoing with various diets around some major events (such as friends weddings) but was recorded at my highest weight November of 2007 at 358 pounds.

I started Nutrisystem in June and lost 40 pounds by October, my goal for a Cancun trip with some friends that month. Then, I returned from Cancun and it's been holiday party after holiday party and my Nutrisystem meals have been sitting in my cabinet. I started my Nutrisystem plan 100% again on 1/5/09, the same day I joined this site.

That's right, I'm not doing the sparks menu plan...not yet. I'll be honest, I don't make good choices. Part of my problem is not knowing what to eat, not wanting to cook after work, and not wanting to spend the money on the stuff I know I should eat. I'm at a dangerous weight level. I need to get to a more manageable weight, then I can try trusting myself. In the mean time, I can take the guess work out of it, not worry about a lot of cooking, and still learn healthy eating and portion control. That's why I choose Nutrisystem and that's why I LOVE Nutrisystem, it works for me...if I do it.

I still have to do my own vegetables, which can be hard, but I've already found a few SP recipes that will work great! And I need a more active community to be a part of.

That's all I can think of saying at this point! hahaha I can't wait to find out everything I can about this site, find some friends, and beat the weight together!

-lose 20lbs by Valentine's Day 09 *** reached 2/14/09***

- 30lbs by 4/15/09

- 40lbs by Memorial Day 09 (let's call it 5/20/09)

-60lbs by my 27th Bday (July 28th, 09)

-80lbs by Labor Day 09

-100 lbs by Halloween 09

- 125 lbs by Christmas 09

-be fit for NYE 09 in NYC to keep up with friends and be comfortable on the plane!

-reach ideal size and weight (for both health and looks..not sure what it will be) by Easter 2010

-wow HS classmates at 10year reunion in June 2010

-wear first bikini on my 28th b-day celebration in 2010 and look smokin'!

My Program:
I'm actually using Nutrisystem as my meal plan until I get to a safer weight. My plan is to get to around 250 before I start really trusting my own cooking! I'm learning food choices and protions.

For exercise, I am following the SP strength training plan and doing my cardio. I'm doing most of my cardio on the Gazelle machine thing, but...I just joined a gym today (2/1) FOR THE FIRST TIME!
I was sooo nervous! But I'm super excited. It's LA Fitness. I'll be doing a lot there!
Started 1st session with Personal Trainer on 2/12...signed up for 6 a month! WooHoo!
