My name is Rebecca. I am an American who moved to Switzerland with my Swiss husband in mid 2009. Upon my arrival I was carrying a little bit of extra weight. However, once I discovered the delicious cheese and chocolate of Switzerland I started packing on some pounds. To add to the problem I got pregnant (yippy) and gained a bunch of baby weight. Although I have had an extra 10 - 15 lbs on my medium frame for most of my life....suddenly I am carrying around an extra 50ish lbs! I am tired of feeling sluggish, uncomfortable and miserable in my skin. Additionally I want to model a healthy lifestyle for my now 9 month old son. Therefore, I am getting my nutrition and fitness back on track by joining the spark!

I am a member of the 2011 Resolution Revolution Team. My ticker reflects the mini goals that I set with this team. Honestly, looking at the big number freaks me out so I think that I will work better if I have smaller, more immediate goals for which to strive. I will update here as to what each challenge is.

Mini Challenge #1 -- Lose it for Valentine's Day. I will lose 15 pounds by February 14, 2011.

Monday, January 3 -- TurboFire 5 day Inferno Plan

Monday, January 10 -- Recommit to TurboFire 20 week program, start at Day 1

Monday, February 14 -- Will have lost 15lbs for 2011 Resolution Revolution

Tuesday, March 22 -- Rock some slinky lingerie for my hubby (it's my 35th birthday)

Monday, April 4 -- Begin Pilates Reformer private classes

Monday, April 11 -- Begin C25K program again from the beginning (it should be warm enough)

Monday, April 25 -- Will have lost 25lbs for 2011 Resolution Revolution

Monday, May 2 -- Begin Pilates group machine classes

Monday, May 23 -- Complete 20wk TurboFire program

Monday, June 6 -- Begin either Chalean Extreme or P90X (still researching this a bit)
June sometime -- wear a bikini proudly

Week of July 24th .. Be strong enough to wakeboard!

Monday, August 8 -- Begin C210K program

My Program:
I am doing my best to write down every morsel of food that enters my mouth. Eating clean -- whole grains, lots of veggies and fruits, protein...little or no sugar. Additionally, I am ramping up my fitness program (which is a real challenge with a 9 month old who has an aversion to naps and sleeping through the night). I am currently working through the TurboFire program which means I do at least video 6 days a week. I have added 3 days of strength training and 1 yoga meltdown class per week.

Personal Information:
I am originally from Kentucky, USA. I lived for a few years in Arizona...and then moved to Switzerland with my husband. We have a small pastry/bakery business that we are working on growing day by day. The business puts me in the bakery making sweet, delicious treats 5 or 6 days a week. This is a true exercise in willpower.
