I've been a member of SparkPeople since 2007 and active for the first 5 years (as LADILADIDA) when I reduced my body weight by 80 pounds and maintained that reduction for about 7 years. I am no stranger to success. Success requires using the tools and tracking progress. So here I am. No shame. Just starting again. I navigate this journey with most of the knowledge, wisdom and power necessary to accomplish my goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle going forward. It's all an adventure and every day is a new exploration, a new me, and a new opportunity to live a joyful life.

Every day, I look to explore and improve upon eight areas of life along the Feng Shui Bagua map. At the heart of each of those areas is HEALTH. HEALTH & WELLNESS is the foundation for all good things in life.

THIS WEEK March 03/21/21

-Get started.
-Update Profile.
-Post new "before" picture.
-Begin tracking water streak
-Begin tracking nutrition streak
-Begin tracking exercise streak.
-Starting Tuesday do 10 minute qigong program every day.
-Starting Tuesday do at least 10 minutes on the rebounder.
-Drink Water daily - 64 ounces a day. (3.5 YETI bottles at 20 oz each)
-Take a daily walk around the park.


My Program:
I soften and yield into an activity.
I honor the joy of each moment.
I ask what would bring me the most joy in this moment?
Can I move in the direction of my joy?
Can I do 10 minutes at least?

My new Profile Name, THE HINKS, reflects my profile as a public personality as an RV'er, Musician, Composer, Voice Over Artist, and Qigong, Yoga and Kripalu Yoga Dance Practitioner.

I continuously enjoy the journey of self-discovery. I am a wife in love with my husband. I am a classically trained singer and performing artist. I am a yoga practitioner. I enjoy travel and sunshine. I enjoy outdoor activities like kayaking, swimming and hiking. I am a loving sister and aunt. I am a good friend - client - student - employee. I support environmentally sound choices. I support alternative preventative holistic medicine. I am a creative - artistic human being and savvy business woman. I am healthy.

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl. If you decide this might be for you you can leave your name on the waitlist for the Spring challenge.     Hey, thanks so much for your comment, I almost started crying when I read it, but in a good way. Things did get better, at least a little. I read some inspirational blogs and remembered that post about that sparkpeople member who didn't budge from 160 but went from a size 12 to a 6. I tried to just eat when I was hungry today. I went to my friday night gym date with myself and was able to do all the hard moves and jump like I could pre-c-section. Thanks for being there. The night is always darkest before the dawn, right? Most of all, thank you for saying that I am worth something because I am me, not because of all the things I'm supposed to do or take care of. I need to remember that more.

    Thank you so much for your comments and support. After I wrote that blog I just felt so at peace. It's like I finally turned this huge corner in my life. Last night I went through all the arias that I know and picked out a soprano list and a mezzo list that I felt good about and I think I can do right now as I am. I start practicing tomorrow! You are also so right about singing because you love it and not to be somebody. That's what I've so been struggling with. I will probably still struggle with some part of that always, but I think it will be a lot better now.

    Thank you for your suggestion of seeking out a yoga teacher. That's a great idea. I've been taking a class on how our thoughts create our reality and I've been looking into the energy of the body and this fits right in line with what you are saying. Hope you had a fun vacation!
