I've been a member of SparkPeople since 2007 and active for the first 5 years (as LADILADIDA) when I reduced my body weight by 80 pounds and maintained that reduction for about 7 years. I am no stranger to success. Success requires using the tools and tracking progress. So here I am. No shame. Just starting again. I navigate this journey with most of the knowledge, wisdom and power necessary to accomplish my goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle going forward. It's all an adventure and every day is a new exploration, a new me, and a new opportunity to live a joyful life.

Every day, I look to explore and improve upon eight areas of life along the Feng Shui Bagua map. At the heart of each of those areas is HEALTH. HEALTH & WELLNESS is the foundation for all good things in life.

THIS WEEK March 03/21/21

-Get started.
-Update Profile.
-Post new "before" picture.
-Begin tracking water streak
-Begin tracking nutrition streak
-Begin tracking exercise streak.
-Starting Tuesday do 10 minute qigong program every day.
-Starting Tuesday do at least 10 minutes on the rebounder.
-Drink Water daily - 64 ounces a day. (3.5 YETI bottles at 20 oz each)
-Take a daily walk around the park.


My Program:
I soften and yield into an activity.
I honor the joy of each moment.
I ask what would bring me the most joy in this moment?
Can I move in the direction of my joy?
Can I do 10 minutes at least?

My new Profile Name, THE HINKS, reflects my profile as a public personality as an RV'er, Musician, Composer, Voice Over Artist, and Qigong, Yoga and Kripalu Yoga Dance Practitioner.

I continuously enjoy the journey of self-discovery. I am a wife in love with my husband. I am a classically trained singer and performing artist. I am a yoga practitioner. I enjoy travel and sunshine. I enjoy outdoor activities like kayaking, swimming and hiking. I am a loving sister and aunt. I am a good friend - client - student - employee. I support environmentally sound choices. I support alternative preventative holistic medicine. I am a creative - artistic human being and savvy business woman. I am healthy.

    Thank you so much for your post to my blog, I've been thinking for a few days about what you posted and really mulling it over. It really resonated with me and I keep gonig back to read it over. 
    Your suggestion of starting from a place of love - that's what really struck me because that's what I'm NOT doing. I'm getting absolutely furious with myself if I slip up in any way. And of course the angrier at myself I get, the more unworthy I feel of being a healthy person! (I.e. you didn't work hard enough, you don't get the prize.)
    It's fascinating, this ties in to when I went to an Ayurvedic practitioner in May and she took my pulse.  She said "You're definitely both Pitta and Kapha, but it's like the Pitta is taking the Kapha and literally dragging it along" - most interesting especially with the push-pull of my perfectionism/laziness!
    I love the theme idea - I need to resurrect that for myself as well. I had started that a while ago and then slacked off as I started to slack off on Spark.
    Also, so wise of you to suggest focusing on the life rather than the result...I've been known to say "okay, this is fine, but when is life going to really start?" I keep raising and raising and raising the bar.
    Essentially, you gave me a LOT to think about, and your blog comment was so timely to get me really mulling those things over! Would love to chat in Jan (December is NUTS)!! I'll message you once I'm thru the holiday rush.
