I have recently set several goals for myself, now that I am 52 and have grandchildren. I want to lose weight & get fit, which will help me to be healthier & I feel certain, happier. I can then be in better shape and more able to do things with my grandchildren and the rest of my family. We have joined the local YMCA and I have a diabetes educator working with me to change my eating habits and bring my sugar under control. Exercising is difficult with my many health issues, but I have been given some new ideas & I am getting some exercise at the YMCA, in the pool & gym. I want to live longer & be healthier. I am tired of the yoyo in my health & weight.

My Goals:

I would like to reach 250 by September 30, 2015 .

My long term goal is to reach 175 by July 21, 2016. I know if I try hard enough I can do it.

My Program:
I have already cut way back desserts, bread, & junk food. I have also cut out most sodas. I am drinking mostly water or unsweet tea.

We stopped using sugar and adding salt several years ago to reduce blood pressure & weight. We also try to eat a high fiber diet for stomach problems.

I am currently: Trying to drink at least 8 x 8 water daily;
I want to exercise minimum of 3 x week;
I need to do strength training exercises at least 3 X week;
I want to get back to really enjoying Spark;
I try to eat at least 2 servings each of fruit & veggies (which I enjoy anyway).

Personal Information:
I am married with 3 grown children and 10 grandchildren plus 2 will join family June 13, 2015 WHEN MY OLDEST SON REMARRIES. I work part time, I am a Christian, I love the Lord and I am thankful everyday for His love, my life and all that I am blessed with, love to sing and enjoy online games, reading and crochet.

My sister BJNAshley also joined SP & I am looking forward to doing this together.`
