Hi My name is Regina and I have been a large girl/woman all my life. I came from a family of people that just loved to eat. I think, when I was born, I was the smallest that I have ever been. After that I hit the ground running and didn't stop with weight gain and bad eating habits

Ya know how people sit and say " I wish I was small again like I was in school." I can't say that because I have always been larger than the average kid, or adult. NEVER had a small bone in my body EVER!!!

As I grew, Doctors would always tell my mother she needed to put me on a diet. The doctor would send my mother home with a diet to follow. Well, she would put me on one, but it wouldn't last long. Yes, I would lose weight but never keep it off. Just like a yo-yo, up and down. My whole life became a yo-yo of up and down dieting. I have tried ever gimmick, fad diet, shot and pill in the book to try to loose weight. It has also been suggested by doctors to have the lap band surgery, which I don't want to think about right now. Doctors talk to you and make you think that lap band is a quick fix tool. I know it is just a tool for losing weight, like eating right and exercising is a tool, but If I could lose weight before eating right and exercising. I can now without having surgery to do it.

Hi Regina, thank you for stopping by my page and golly we have such similar lives. My hubby has heart disease along with muscular dystrophy, diabetes and now stage 3 kidney disease. I know the toll it takes on us to care for those we love and their needs often exceed our own but we are committed to make a lifestyle change and we can do this! I would love to be your friend and win this battle together!

Don't beat yourself up for regaining the weight, let it be your inspiration, tell yourself, I did it before and I will do it again. Take the lessons you learned before and let it be your guide. I know you will succeed. emoticon

emoticon Debbie (luckylady3) God bless you and your family
