I joined SP at 65 but I had a few birthdays so now I am 77 years old. I live in MS with my husband. I am originally from Arizona and get homesick often even though there are things I love here too. I have trouble staying with a program and I am hoping SP will be the support that will help me reach my goals to become more healthy and happier.

March 14, 2009. Yeah!! My first time to get over 10,000 steps in a day. I got some at work , some at Walmart and 6222 of them in 55 mins on the treadmill. Maybe not an every day happening but a goal to add.

On Sept 28, 2009 my husband had a confortation with a tree and pretty much lost the arguement. He broke his back, 8 ribs and punctured a lung. He is recovering but it will be a long haul. So my SP plan has changed but I still will check in as time permits.

Half of 2013 is gone and I have some work to do. My daughter and SIL are taking a cruise as her retirement gift to herself and I am blessed to be treated for my 70th birthday present to get to go too. I will treat my hubby (his 65th). All is planned for March of 2014 so I only have a few months to get in the best possible shape (pun intended) I can before then. Let it be. :)

June 1st is just 2 days away and I am getting a few days of a head start on getting back to SP and making my 70s be more enjoyable. I am grateful I still have my job at the Herb shop and the opportunity to have healthy choices available. July will be a VERY busy month for us with one week with MS grandsons visiting Florida and one week of AZ grands and Greats visiting us in MS. I plan on it all paying off and my heart being full and my pants being loose. :)

Well here it is 2016. We will have our 30th anniversary in April (3 s a charm). I am going to make this one at a healthier weight. Might be my last year to have a job outside of home too So really need to establish better exercise habits.=

It is July of 2017!! The older you get the more quickly the months and years roll by. Still making a start and go effort to be healthier and still helping out at the shop. Who knows for how long but will be there as long as my friend keeper going.

It is already 3 weeks into 2018. I have pretty lazy and full of excuses the past couple of years. I decided today was the best day to start reaching for my goals. Today v tomorrow. Setting an eating schedule and making a new commitment to treadmill time. Establish habits works for me. Looks like I could be around for a while longer and want to be productive not a burden.

Jan 27 2019! What a year!! So blessed! Had my eyelids hemmed up, got cataracts taken care of, diagnosed with two colon cancers, very successful surgery to remove both and blessed with totally healing from God. Just finished the 6 chemo treatments over 3 months. Last of the Chemo headaches about gone today. Bonus of the weight loss and today I start back tracking to keep it gone, get some muscle tone back and hopefully get rid of a few more excess pounds!

Sept 29th 2019. Well my crazy old self seems to like surgery in September!.Had to have an incisional hernia patched last Tuesday. No pool exercise for at least 2 weeks (if weather permits). Did one lap on walking track yesterday. Will need at least 2 laps to get good results. Number 76 coming up in less than 3 weeks!

My Goals:
To loose 10% of my weight and then another 10% until 50 pounds are gone.

First 10% lost:
March 25th

5500 steps every day.

10,000 steps at least once a week.

My Program:
Logging in my calorie intake and staying within my max. Drinking my 8 glasses of water and the hardiest of all getting back into a regular exercise routine.
Strength training 3 times a week
Treadmill everyday.

Personal Information:
2021 and I am a two year cancer survivor now and ony work a max of 24 hours a week. No longer work for 30 to 45 hours a week in my friend's health food store. I still would really like to be a better advertisement for the shop. Staying healthy at 77 is my main goal!

Other Information:
I have loads of grandchildren
and even more greatgrandchildren. Some I have yet to meet since they live all over the US. 2021 and I now add two Great Greats to my count!
