Here on a journey......I lost 67 pounds, and reached my goal weight!! I have a healthy lifestyle now, focused on eating whole foods as often as possible, exercise very regularly, lots and lots of water, and daily yoga practice and Reiki self-treatment.

I have been maintaining, but I am working to move a little further into the healthy BMI range, and work on my strength training.

I loved the Jenny Craig program, and learned so much about healthful eating, portion control, regular exercise, positive self-talk, and reasonable goal setting, along with visualisation. All the great things you learn on SP!

I also learned about the value of social support. Having been a therapist for years, I'm here for the social support. You can never have too much support!

Been through several serious traumas, but oh, yeah, I'm still alive, sometimes kicking, focused on thriving, and working on new life goals.

My Goals:
Feel fit and healthy. DOING!

Lose 67 pounds, and enter healthy BMI range. DONE!

Maintain. DOING!

Lose another 15 pounds to enter even further into the healthy BMI range. Focus on strength training, strong bones and muscles, even healthier heart (!), and keep cholesterol and glucose low.

My Program:
Healthful eating, adding protein and fiber. Cardio 6 X per week. ST 3 X per week. Yoga - daily.
Reiki - daily.
Meditation - daily.

    I can feel the addiction coming; not there just yet, but it's coming!

    Re: snacking
    Try thinking about how much EXTRA cardio you'll have to do to get it burned off. If that doesn't work, try to at least go for healthier options like carrot sticks or apples with peanut butter, or apples with cheese! Yum! Sometimes I just go ahead and splurge with blueberries.... I'm in love with my berries!

    Hey Awesome Lady! Thanks for the rose - I wish they were black also - that is my all time favorite flower. I am deeply honored to be added as a friend. Glad I could help in a small way - LOL. I live down South and love your attitude on the snow!!!! We will probably get a wintry mix tonight and I will be stuck at home tomorrow since I can't drive on anything slick - My friends say I am bad enough on dry pavement - LOL!!! I have several small and one large bridge that I have to go over to get 2 work. So there is no way I am trying that. I will have a better attitude on the snow/ice since reading your comment. Nothing like a fresh prospective from a friend to open your eyes to a better way of thinking. Huggss!
