I'm tired of judging myself on my appearance - I want to be known for what I do, not by how my hair looks! Cutting it off was very liberating!

So here I am again! Not quite back at square one but certainly back. I just can't seem to find a healthy balance between my nutrition, fitness and weight - I need to find what I want from my life that works with my life.

This recent setback started when I was training for a marathon in 2009 and I got injured three weeks before the September event. It really pulled me down, not being able to participate after all that training and I wasn't able to pull myself back up. I put on about 40 pounds and spent a lot of time feeling sorry for myself.

But, in the spring of 2010 my legs were feeling better so I put together a moms running group to train for their first 5k. All went well, we ran, we had fun, we raced. Then summer hit and it all kind of fell apart again. I'm not sure what I weigh now - I'll find out in a few weeks when my Biggest Loser Challenge 14 begins. But I don't need the scale to know my clothes don't fit, I don't feel well, my eating stinks and I rarely move - I'm just not happy.

So I thank God that there is Spark!! Because you never truly fail until you give up and quit. And even though I am disappointed and frustrated with myself I refuse to give up on me until the good Lord takes me home with him.

It's not about perfection, it's about living.

My Goals:
1. Eat as clean as possible on most days; weigh and measure food.
2. Track food every day.
3. Exercise a minimum of 20 min. per day!
4. Continue to find new challenges, both physical and mental.
5. Continue to work toward harmony and peace between mind, body and soul!

My Program:
I'm am on a mission to lose these final 10+ pounds and KEEP THEM OFF! My plan for any eating out I may do is to order as healthfully as possible and only eat half. I'm also back to tracking every little thing that enters my mouth. The biggest shock when I started tracking my food was finding out how much I was really eating...YIKES! I stopped doing this the first time I started in maintenance and easily lost sight of what I wanted to be doing.

During the next 6 weeks I am putting myself through a self-devised, vigorous plan. I am going to Tastefully Simple's National Conference and I want to wear my size 6 BCBG party dress darn it! :) My cardio takes care of itself since I'm training for a marathon. I need to work back in strength training and yoga to get the curves and definition I want.

On days when I don't feel like moving, I will tell myself just try exercising for 10 minutes. When I start I keep going 95% of the time! The hardest part is in the starting.

Personal Information:
I live in the Saucon Valley in Eastern Pennsylvania on the outskirts of the Lehigh Valley. I have a wonderful husband and two fantastic kids, all of whom are learning to be more active and lead a healthy lifestyle.

Other Information:
I'm an avid reader (which doesn't help much in the get-off-the-coach department) and I love to cook (and obviously eat)! I own my own business selling convenience driven gourmet food products (Tastefully Simple). I was tired of hating my fat self so I needed to change and I did!
