A new start

I joined Spark People in 2007, and it started an amazing journey to a healthier outlook on life for me. I realized how to eat healthy, and I became an athlete. I learned that not enough or too much of anything isn't always the best, and that sometimes you have to fall down once, twice, or twenty times in order to learn how to walk.

Who I am in 2011 is different than, but undeniably influenced, by the person I was in 2007. This is my journey, from then and now, to who I am continuing to become.

I discovered in that journey that I don't need to spend hours in the gym to get in shape, but I might spend hours practicing something I love. I don't need to eat perfectly, but I feel the best when I eat healthfully. I discovered that I'm a runner, that I love any sort of activity the challenges me, and that I will always prefer to work out with people versus by myself. I discovered Muay Thai, Boxing, and Kickboxing, and fell in love with fitness all over again. I discovered that I don't like to eat until I puke, that I prefer a few good bites over multiple tasteless meals, and that indulgence is best practice in moderation.

Fitness Minutes: 8,421

My Goals:
-Eat more fruits and veggies ! :)
-Enter a Muay Thai competition or tournament
-Run at least 1 5K this year

My Program:
Monday-3 mile run, 25-30 minutes of conditioning, and 30 minutes of technique (90 minutes)
Tuesday-2 mile run and a 90 minute Muay Thai class, with the possibility of extra before/after class (2-3 hours)
Wednesday-3 mile run, 20-30 minutes of conditioning, 30 minutes technique work on the bag (90 minutes)
Thursday-Same as tuesdday (2-3 hours)
Friday-Either MT(if Kru Mong wants to teach me) or same as monday (90 minutes)
Saturday-90 minutes muay thai class
Sunday-1 hour run

Personal Information:
I am someone who loves to be active. My 'routine' changes with the season, and with my moods. I enjoy running, practicing martial arts (Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Boxing, etc), hiking, doing endless pushups and sit ups, and pushing giant sleds.

The biggest challenge I face, and will most likely struggle with, is trying to make sure my diet is full of what it needs. I don't always eat a balanced diet, and I know I suffer physically because ofi t.
