They both have about 200 calories. The mango has more than 500 mg of potassium. The cantaloupe has over 300 percent of your minimum daily requirement of both Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Wonderful "desserts".Here's a terrific snack: a fresh ripe PEAR. For about 100 calories, it has 6 grams of fiber, and more than 200 milligrams of potassium. ENJOY !Added veggies to my breakfast this morning: 2 medium scrambled eggs with chopped Kale, Tomato, and Onion, and a slice of Marble Rye Bread. Only 250 calories and 16 grams of protein. Also a good source of folate, molybdenum, Vit E, dietary fiber, Vit B2, pantothenic acid, and potassium. A great addition to my spinach salad later.A friend gave me these Campari Tomatoes today. (He knows the way to my heart. lol) Going to save some seeds from one of them and grow my own tomato plants in my back yard for a few months down the road. We can grow tomatoes year-round down here in Florida. Tonight's dinner: 3 oz. of veal, small ear of fresh sweet corn, small red potato. 368 caloriesFresh Sweet California Cherries make a terrific evening snack.My Dinner tonight: 3 ounces of veal (173 calories according to the SP food tracker) and a spinach salad with Campari tomato, orange bell pepper, and red onion. Made a homemade pasta salad with a bag of frozen broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. Even made my own Italian Dressing and sliced up the black olives. Try fresh fruit salad for a healthy dessert. Mine has red seedless grapes, nectarines, pears, red delicious apples, and pineapple. (Wish I had some juicy strawberries.) But it's delicious. Dinner tonight: Roasted chicken breast, scalloped potatoes, and green beans with balsamic vinegar. Enjoyed it.Here's my lunch today: a salad including Roma tomatoes, Vidalia onion, green bell pepper and cucumber, drizzled with French-style dressing (2 T = 90 cal.) and topped with a small scoop of low-fat cottage cheese.(1/2 cup = 80 cal.) Really enjoyed it.I'm including veggies in my breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled with sautÃ©ed Vidalia onions, green bell pepper, and Roma tomatoes.
