It's my daughter's 12th birthday and she made vegan brownies for her birthday treat. I had to choose between the pasta or the brownie to stay in my daily limit. The brownie won today! Happy Birthday Kiddo!Lunch... So delicious and healthful! Quinoa veggie salad with chicken and feta. Blueberries and raspberries.Broke the 150 barrier! I've been tracking my food, drinking my water, walking every day, and mixing in some strength training! I had plateaued for a couple weeks, so I tried reducing wheat/gluten and my weight loss caught up! 13+ lbs lost since March 7th!! I feel really good, but have 10-15 lbs to go!I've lost 16 pounds in a little over 2 months!! I have 7 pounds until I reach my first goal weight. But... I cheated today (for my anniversary dinner.) My gyro and wine was delicious and, hopefully, worth it! 😉YESSS!!! Finally got to my original goal of 140! It took me 14 weeks to lose 23 pounds. That last 10 took seven weeks!
Now, I'm going to reassess my goals to see what I want to accomplish with my health and fitness. There's a bit more weight to lose and some firming up to be done. But, I'm impressed at what this app has helped me to accomplish... I haven't seen my weight in the 130s in over 15 years! This dinner is a hit with my whole family... And it's about 400 calories!! Win-win!!
Chicken burgers, broccoli, homemade sweet potato fries, and sweet cherries.High weight of 163 to current weight of 137... pictures along the way. (Size 14 to Size 8!!) Sparkpeople had held me accountable and it feels great! I could lose a bit more weight, but it is secondary to my new challenge... training to run a 5K... something I never thought my body could do!What a great day!! The scale said 135.2 this morning (28 lbs down since I started!!) My dh and I are training for a 5k and we ran 3-ish miles - without slowing - in a bit under 27 minutes. My previous motto was that "I don't run unless something is chasing me!" I'm achieving some big goals that I thought were out of reach!!! Thanks Sparkpeople for keeping me motivated!!#deliciousdailymoment
This is my daughter's birthday dessert. She has multiple food allergies, but is able to eat So Delicious Soy ice cream! Here, it is topping homemade ice cream sundae cake!! Yum!! Happy birthday to her!! (And cheat day for me! 😉)I loosely followed the 30 day 5K challenge starting with my first run/walk on June 13th. Results... I ran my first ever 5K tonight in 29:51, finishing third in my age group (40-49)! I'm astonished and proud of what my body can do!!Posted a photo#deliciousdailymoment
My family on a sunset walk at the beach. I think this may be my new "happy place"!My first solo run... 3.2 miles in 33 minutes. My dh and I are training for a 5k on Labor Day. This is the first time I've had to train alone. I still can't believe I can run this long since starting mid-June!! #sparkgoals 💪June 11th - began walk/run training.
Sept 14th - ran a 5K without stopping!

A few side benefits to my summer running are:
1. Quality time with the hubs!
2. Appreciation for the body that God has created. I'm amazed at what it can do!
3. I lost an additional 10 lbs and weigh in at 128.8. I haven't seen the 120s in over 20 years!!
4. My cardiovascular system seems greatly improved.Woah... Busy day! I bet I'll sleep well tonight!192 days tracking my food and water. Start weight: 163.
