#BeforeAndAfter Not real sure of my weight in the 2014 pic, but started this journey at 264. Now 180. Same shirt.....yep, I hang on to clothes a long time LOLFor all you cat lovers out there!I've got to get me one.... but what to do with the syrup? LOLGot back last night from a trip to Alabama to visit the great grandbabies. Awesome time, now to get rid of all those extra calories and make up for missed exercise!Found an awesome breakfast called "Just Crack an Egg Denver Omelette" from Ore-Ida. Quick, easy, tastes great. Inside the cup is a packet of applewood ham, a packet of cheddar cheese, and a packet of onions/peppers/potatoes. You just "add an egg". It has directions for adding a second egg if you have a bigger appetite. Good morning everyone!!Good morning everyone!!!Just because, that's why LOLAny excuse will do!!!! LOLSunday is normally flag change day, but Friday I got a new one for Memorial Day, so I went ahead and put it up. It was hard to get a pic because there was just enough wind to make it flap. I keep the US flag on top and change the lower one weekly. This is my downfall for the weekend. I'm normally very good at about 1 drink a week but.........It's flag change day. I always have a US flag on top, and try to change the bottom one weekly. I have seven flags (plus the US one), just took down the Memorial Day flag. I'm sure I'll be getting more as time goes on.I find this funny, even tho I'm not much into wine LOLI find this funny, even tho I'm not much into wine LOLSometimes ya just need a good bush trimmin'. It's a good workout anyway.Sometimes ya just need a good bush trimmin'. It's a good workout anyway.Just putting this out there.....Flag change day. I'll leave this one up til after 4th of July.Starting point for my hike, Devil's Backbone State Park, Grand Tower IL, Mississippi River. My 3 favorite kitchen items.... bag holder, air popper, and scale. What's your favorite? If all else fails......Sometimes my sense of humor is..... a bit warped LOLThis is the trail that I hike for my sanity. I spent the last two days backpacking 27 miles from this sign in Ferne Clyffe State Park to Giant City State Park Lodge, with an overnight stop in Panther Den. I've hiked the entire trail once, quite a bit of it twice, and this about 40 miles of it three times.Found this in my yard. Two questions: 1. Is this one of those "magic" mushrooms? 2. How many calories? What I look like after a 3 day/50 mile hike. Haven't checked to see what the temps actually were, they were forecast low 25 and high 42. I know I had to shake ice off my tent Saturday morning!Another pic from my hiking trip. If anyone would like to see more pics, or even just be facebook friends, send me a message. Fair warning, I have a lot of political posts there. I don't care if we agree on them or not, we can still be friends.I can walk forever or even backpack carrying 35 lbs for twenty miles a day, but I can barely run to the end of my driveway and back.Magic fairy dust, I use this on practically everything. I asked my wife to get the low salt version, instead she got me the bold. Guess it will be a while before I get the low salt LOL.hmmm lolLOLJust found this funny.... I know some of my friends here can relate.Just found this funny.... I know some of my friends here can relate.Looked out my window today and saw this fellow eating road-kill racoon in front of my house. By the time I got my camera he'd flown to this tree, it's a pretty long shot, probably 80-100 yards. Looked out my window today and saw this fellow eating road-kill racoon in front of my house. By the time I got my camera he'd flown to this tree, it's a pretty long shot, probably 80-100 yards. This is my back yard. We were supposed to get 6-9 inches of snow, got more like 4. It's 37 degrees and already melting. I don't normally shovel snow but since I could use the exercise I went ahead and shoveled the sidewalk. Now I won't feel bad about sitting inside all day LOL.Better pic of my back yard LOLWell, it wasn't cloudy, so I got a few eclipse pics. This is probably the best one.Stole this from facebook. Bella in the new bunny house additionBella in the new bunny house additionBuster checking out the new bunny house addition. Can anyone tell me how to put more than one photo in a post so that I don't have to do multiple posts?Lola enjoying the nice warm deck. She only gets to come in when it's cold outside.Wife is gone to Las Vegas, so I'm in charge of feeding the bunnies cheerios for breakfast. Normally I give them Ritz crackers and then she gives them the cheerios, but I'm doing double duty for a few days.My 8 day hike was shortened to 6 1/2, mainly because the sheriff's dept was worried that my car might be lower than the rising Ohio River. Sat out 2 1/2 days in the rain at this beautiful spot, although fog got so thick that I couldn't see the edge of the bluff. Actually hiked for 4 days, a little over 50 miles. Temps varied from 20 to 60, and the rain made stream crossings interesting. But I do this for my mental health, and it was needed and it worked. #BeforeAndAfter How I look after laying in the tent for two days waiting for the rain to stop. I'll hike in the cold, and hike in the rain, but not hike when it's barely above freezing and raining. I don't do totally without electronics, I have a GPS app on my phone, and every evening I text my wife to tell her where I am. And, if necessary, check the weather forecast. But I still de-stress a bunch.Saw this on Amazon... my first thought was "my kind of girl" LOL.My friends on FB post some funny stuff! My friends are at it again.....Get ready, here they come! Not fat but just can't run LOLMy friends are at it again LOLSo true!!Yep.Yep. Me too.Gotta love Maxine! There is always a different way to look at things LOLYep, that just about sums it up LOLWe recently started seeing a finch at the feeder. We added a "clinger" feeder with sunflower seeds, and then yesterday I gave my wife another "clinger" feeder with thistle seed. We've now seen 5 finches at once, and they're starting to fight over the feeders. My wife took this pic through the screen LOLProbably the only way I'd ever see a gym LOLI love mexican food. I don't limit myself to one type of cuisine tho. LOLYeah, I could see this happening.Yeah, I could see this happening. Not for me, but I know a lot of people feel this way.Hmmm.This is especially appropriate since I'm on vacation this week and spent yesterday in New Orleans. My trip to New Orleans and the Gulf Coast was wonderful. Too many drinks, too much food, too little exercise. But still wonderful. And you haven't lived until you've witnessed the Naked Bike Ride in New Orleans. Not sure whether people have too much pride of what they possess, or too little pride in themselves.
Finished my hike yesterday. This was the most interesting part.... This timber rattlesnake was guarding the trail and wasn't about to let me through. Not a great pic, but I wasn't getting any closer. He seemed a bit annoyed LOL. 48 miles, 4 days, 30 lb pack. One huge heel blister and several sore toes. It's time for new boots! Not avoiding chocolate, but thought it was funnyFound these little critters on my last hike, they didn't seem concerned at all that I was watching them. Looks so sweet which is so deceiving LOLBorks's Waterfall, Ferne Clyffe State Park. One of my earlier backpacking adventures. Other people have cats and dogs inside. We have.......... Buster (black) and Bella. Buster is full grown in this pic, however Bella was only about half grown. Here they're seen hogging the a/c vent.Buster (black) and Bella. Buster is full grown here but Bella is half grown.Lola... AKA Mole Chaser, Digger. Suspected to be a Southern IL Trench Hound or Welsh Well Digger.Yes, yes, no, yes, YES!!This is how my relatives feel about exercise LOLSorry everybody, just had to post this....
