I gave my son one for Christmas and he loves his. I got a used one for $40. I’ve heard good things. If I can cut fat and calories it’ll be a win.My friend has a few feet of snow and we got an inch. Another pound down. Started working on wii fit and battery went dead. So did a bit of moving and now I’m tying fringe on a handwoven scarf while battery charges up. Yesterday I went to the juice bar and cafe where my 16 year old works. I got a turkey & Brie panini with oyster mushroom and miso soup. I also got to sneak and watch her work.Went hiking yesterday and did 3-4 miles. Saw elk. It’s was cold (in the 30s), but beautiful.Where I was yesterday. And it was cold!2 organic eggs, queso, spinach, shiitake, and fresh salsa. I make pretty omelets18 pounds down. The first time I’ve shared a picture of my self not wearing baggy clothes. 20 to 30 more to go.My friend gave me this cake and I didn’t eat it. My son ate a slice or two and was done and his girlfriend took it to a potluck. Moving out temptations fast helps me. If it’s out of sight, it’s out of mind.TruthLunch. 2/3 c almond milk
2/3 c Greek yogurt
Handful or so of spinach
1 -2 tsp chia seeds
2 tsp spirulina
2 TBs PBfit (powdered peanut butter)Purchased this to add to smoothies. I have a peanut butter weakness and never purchase it because I’d eat it by the spoonful all day long. Watching calories helps me. This adds flavor and protein. 70 calories per 2 tbs serving, 2 g fat, and 8 g protein. I’m a happy faeThe most beautiful smell in the world. They can’t capture the scent of lilacs and bottle it. My favorite smell and I await spring so I can inhale with pure joy. 💜

So excited with the changes!Too baggy! WAY too baggy! Headed to donation pile. I got rid of clothes I didn’t love last winter and now I’m getting rid of clothes that are too big!This coffee looks decadent, and it is. But it’s my pressed coffee that I frothed the milk with my secura milk frother. I was able to stop with heavy cream in my coffee and use 1/3 cup of 2% fairlife. It’s cut fat and calories and the rich mouth feel from the frothed milk makes me feel like I’m having a treat. I never thought I’d stop with cream in coffee.Raise your hand if you burned calories through anxiety while watching last nights episode of Game of Thrones! Probably the best episode of any show I’ve ever watched! Whew!Dinner last night. 900 calories because of the house made chips.
Ahi Tuna with Black Beans & Rice topped with Sautéed Vegetables, Sliced Avocado, Chow Chi, Cilantro, Lime, & Chang Aioli. If I didn’t have that it would have been hundreds of calories less. Not worried. My total for the day was 1415.

And I didn’t start back until January 2019. I am confident I put on weight between August and January. Comfort eating after my daddy passed away. Now I am 33# down since January 1!
I don’t have any pictures of me right at the beginning because I was so embarrassed. Getting there! Super happy and feeling great! Seeing changes more and more. And feeling better and better.I always toss my cut flowers from bouquets out into the yard to decompose. The other day this caught on the phone line! 😂This book has been super helpful with my changes now. It does not advocate a certain way of eating or food choices, but it changes the way you approach food and choices. It’s based on cognitive behavior therapy. I am a huge fan.One year ago. I did not start losing weight until January of this year. But this picture came up in my Facebook memories a few days ago. And I put a few more pounds on after this picture. I am now down almost 38 pounds. I would like to go another 10 to 15. But right now I’m thrilled with myself. #BeforeAndAfterMy happy is that one of my blog posts was chosen as a featured blog post! Yay!Beach! I plan on lots of walks and swimming either in the ocean or the pool. Or both!Vacation! Walking, swimming, reading and eating lean and clean. I got this! I can be on vacation and not gain weight.I thought I’d share that I’m starting to feel more proud with how i look. Feeling more comfortable and confident.
I’m wearing a bathing suit and heading down to the pool. I swam at the beach this morning and swimming at the pool and walking a lot.
(And yes, I’m on vacation and brought my spinning wheel).At the beach with my eldest son. I went with him, his girlfriend, my 16 year old daughter and her friend. I didn’t blow my diet while there and walked and swam so much. Last year I was over 40# heavier and didn’t do as much.Principe Borghese Tomatoes. Aren’t they pretty? It was my happy to step outside and pick these. I’ll be cooking them tonight with local okra and onions and garlic. I’m also going to roast some local corn. Nothing better than knowing where your food comes from.Hard to get your steps in when you’re followed by 1-6 dogs from room to room! Staying home and being healthy.Yesterday’s workout. My 15 year old terrier snuck out through the cat door on my porch and went on a 3 hour walk about. What a crazy adventure. I didn’t know he’d escaped until my daughter called him for dinner and he didn’t come.
The whole neighborhood was looking for him. He visited a chicken coop, made friends and I found him a few streets away. I live in the city with lots of green space. He was quite proud of himself.
Putting together new veggie beds and hauling soil. My workout this weekend. I’ve lost even more weight. 63 plus pounds down. I probably blew my diet today but y’all: look at this sourdough bread I made. The crumb is beautiful. It tastes amazing. I made it from three ingredients: flour water and salt. The four and water created a living starter of natural yeast and I fed it until it was bread making time. It’s perfect. I am happy.After gardening selfie Me. Lol.My workoutMy son got married at a waterfall yesterday. We hiked to it. I got in 16k steps. Hah it was the most beautiful wedding. Here I am with my three children.My son married this wonderful woman last week at a waterfall. We hiked up to it and it was the most beautiful wedding I’ve seen.San Marzano tomatoes. They’re the best. I don’t like juicy tomatoes and prefer the paste. I’ve made and frozen red sauce and dehydrated them and been making fresh salsa with them. Oh and roasting them with veggies. Just picked more and more tomatillos. I’ll cook and make more sauce and maybe another quart of fresh fermented salsa. Yum yum yum.Pretty sunrise this morningI lost my sweet little max this week.
