Giving the Blog a try!

Ok, so I've finally decided to give this Blog thing a try. I've had a couple of stretches of bad days and need something to kick my focus back in to gear. It all started to go downhill last week when I was sick Monday and Tuesday - only good thing from that is I dropped 4lbs in two days! Of course most of it came back as soon as food stayed in my stomach for more than a couple hrs! :-) I got back into gear the rest of the week, but then slacked off tracking my nutrition all weekend. Is it worth trying to figure out what I ate the last two+ days or not bother? I don't think I ate all that bad, but one thing I have learned from this site so far is that most of what I eat is higher calorie than I'd have thought. Final bad string of events - today when I went to the gym to workout (I swim laps M/W/F) I find out the lap pool is closed til Thursday - new heater! While it's nice to think I won't have to swim in 75 deg water anymore, that's two swim days I'll miss! :-( But on the good side of things, I bought a water pitcher this weekend and have been drinking more water than I usually manage today and I'm going to walk to daycare to p/up my kids - so that's a 1.5 mile walk to help make up for the missed swimming. So, there's my venting for the day - I think I feel better. We'll see if I like the whole blog idea or not...til next time.
