I ahve been super busy with both jobs and so much going on in my life. Between the two jobs I am working almost 80 hours a week and I never get an actual day off from both unless I request it. In my desperation, I have turned to soda for stimulus to keep going. As a result I have gained some weight back, mostly water weight though. i just need to find another way. Tea doesnt work as it soothes me. There is also a wedding coming up and I hate knowing I didnt lose enough. I am not sure what I am going to do. I really need to come back to this site again and find time.

I hit the same problem as you did Heather. I was so busy with moving house and book reviewing that I figured I could put SP on the back burner and still keep my good habits. It didn't turn out that way though and my weight crept back up to 323 (the highest it has been in a while). I was so frustrated with myself and I admit, I kicked myself a lot but finally snapped myself out of it and realised that didn't achieve anything but preventing me correcting the situation.

Who says you didn't lose enough for the wedding? Are you being overly tough on yourself again? While we all have ideals for how we want to look for certain occassions I think you need to be kinder to yourself my friend.

I do the same thing, I kick my tush a lot but I am slowly learning that if I am more gentle and nurturing with myself, I usually correct my path more quickly. It's a long process undoing all those negative habits we give ourselves but stick with it! It's worth it, I promise.

As for the soda. I hear you. When I went camping I was drinking soda like crazy and though it was the diet soda made with splenda (and so didn't affect my calories) the water retention was crazy. I highly recommend the nestea flavour sachets to drop into water. They have one I especially love (lemon and lime) that is for being more active. I find it boosts my energy levels or wakes me up or something. It's great.

I hope you are going to find time to come back.. when you do please give me a shout and maybe if you like, we could become diet buddies and encourage each other on this journey!
