Resting up, day two

Saturday was my long run of 24 miles. My knee was bothering me while I ran a little bit. Then afterwards I was left to wonder 'is this normal?'

Yesterday was a full day of rest and today my knee is still a little sore, while the rest of my joints feel fully recovered, so I guess it's not normal.

I was so encouraged by my training schedule, no injuries until now. At least it is still a while before my race so I have time to rest and heal.

Not the ideal situation, but oh well. Unfortunately not running is detrimental to my patience and attitude... so if you read this and feel led to, please agree with me in prayer that my knee is whole and complete and functions the way God created it to function! Thanks!

    It's normal to get aches and pains after such a long run. Just remember to give yourself a day or so more of rest and ice ice ice. Ibuprofen isn't too bad either, just don't go overboard.

    Don't worry, it's normal. As long as you can walk and perform normal day-to-day tasks, you're good.

    And KUDOS on the 24 miles! :)
