10/12 Day 6 Decisions and Conclusions

Sunday, October 12, 2008

I decided to drop my Nutrtion class works takes me down to 6 hours this semester. I really don't know what I was thinking trying to take 9 hours, work full time and do everything else I do. Its so hard to admit I don't have the energy I use to have to be able to do all the things I use to do. I was preparing to take a test this evening, did a practice sheet and was just lost.

I thought why are you putting yourself through this when you don't have to. The only class I need to apply for nursing programs is my algebra class and that's where I need to concentrate. My marriage and family class is to boost my GPA up and it's pretty easy.

I felt a big relief come when I decided to drop Nutrition. I will pick it up again because I have strong intrest in nutrition. One of the areas I want to focus on in nursing is obesity in children. Which is another reason I have got to get this weight off. Who wants a overweight person talking about nutrition would you trust them... I wouldn't.

Now that I have a little more time I prepared my food for the week. I made my favorite one pot meal, Slow Cooker Taco Stew (it's a spark recipe). I've takento making it on top of the stove. It's full of fiber, fiber, fiber and I have it with brown rice until it's all gone, gone, goneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I slow baked several chicken breast to use during the week in different meals so I've got a good head start on the week.

I will be grocery shopping in my own cabinets this week. No spending except eggs and milk which I have none of....lol.

Conclusions: I'm not as young as I use to be. I can only prepare when I have time and time I have to make. It's okay to stope back regroup and do what needs to be done. I got back to my motto of Superwoman and I have nothing in common!!!

I'm looking forward to a lot of progress this week!!!!!
