Putting Yourself Last Is Not Always A Bad Thing.

Two weeks ago I brought my son a treadmill and today my son called to tell me thank you, that I had probably saved his life!!!!!!.

He's a truck driver with no time to eat properly or exercise. Joined a gym never went a regular basis because after coming off the road he needed sleep. In the past year he has been diagnosed with sleep apena, high blood pressure and diabetes, all weight induced and he is only 29.

Well a couple of weeks ago I really got on him, and he said if he had a treadmill at home he would work out because no travel time would be involved. Going to the gym was adding another hour to his day before he could get some sleep. He said he was going to buy one when he got the money and I offered to buy one for him. My goal had been to have a treadmill in my house by October there went my treadmill..lol

i told him I was investing in him as well as my future grandchild as he needed to be around.

I believe he would have eventually gotten it together because he use to be very active. Plus ast some point he was going to get tired of me fussing at him about his weight....lol However, why put off what can be done today for tomorrow. He has been working out faithfully for the past two weeks. He said he has energy again and feels so much better. and thats makes Mama very very happy.....lol

So I'll have to wait a couple of more months to get my treadmill but I won't mind the wait at all.!!!!

Congrats to you for putting your son first! And good job for him for actually using it! I'm still saving for my treadmill, and I wish I could afford to buy family members (who really needs them) one. That would be an awesome Christmas present.

Well whata you know! Perhaps he'll see the blessing in your sacrifice to get him the treadmill and will save money to buy his mom one for Christmas. Or like my mom use to say just give me money and she'll save it up and buy what she wanted.

Keep encouraging your son as he goes along - I'm sure he'll make momma proud!
