2nd day of MTC

Monday, October 27, 2008

Wow, I really overdid it this past weekend! I weigh 130.2 close to my highest during this three year weight gain. I so want to be back to being confident and lithe in my body!

I was worried about my back yesterday but it seems to feel better this morning. I was incapacitated this summer because I had a tear in one disk and a herniation in the one next to it in my lower back L5/S1. Bad news. The only good thing is that my husband wasn't here to see me not doing anything. I would like to say that the injury is what made me gain weight, but it was all me and not eating properly. I don't eat junk food or processed food, but I was eating almond butter and honey on wild rice cakes. I made organic gluten free cookies, but they had butter and sugar in them! For a lot of the summer that is all I was eating. I got back into salads and good food fro me when I read and Started doing The Fat Resistance Diet. What a great book! I really recommend it. My problem though its that on the weekends I would just quit and go back to the almond butter and then recently I was ordering pizza without the sauce and veggies, but still!! PIZZA??? I was great during the weeks losing 4 pounds and tracking my food but then on the weekend tracking went out the window when I was overeating and would gain the 4 pounds back so it all was a wash. Ugh. Quite a vicious cycle of gain/lose/gain/lose.

That is what they call yo-yo dieting!!!

No more!!!!

I have posted before pictures even without an after (a very scary thing for me to do), I am tracking everything that goes in my mouth, I am starting the MTC program and really watching the carbs.

I do think my goal of losing 20 pounds in 6 weeks is a little unrealistic, but I am hoping to lose 3 pounds a week and I know that if I control the carbs I will be able to do that.

Every Sunday I am going to take more pictures to track the progress. Another motivator.

I will come back later after I do my workout. It may be close to 5 or 6 this evening...have a great day y'all!
