Oxygen weight program

Sunday, November 23, 2008

Well I was looking for a weight program that would help me put on some muscle that I can do at home and I came across Muscle and Fitness' new issue. The exercises looked really fun and used minimal equipment.

I went to the store immediately and could not bring myself to buy the issue. Muscle and Fitness has really chaged it's content since the last time I remember reading it.

But the good news is that Oxygen had a Nutrition issue out with a weight program in it I could follow at home as well as a diet plan. I don't know what it is, but I have to have instructions in a little grid to follow if I want to succeed at a program! This issue gives me just what I need!

Nothing too excitingly new, heavy weight 6-8 reps to fatigue for the first month. All exercises are easily done at home, the only one I need to find a replacement for is the Lat. Pulldown... any suggestions for something I can do using free weights at home?

So I'm doing ok, not perfect, but ok on the diet. And I'm pretty sore from lifting, which is good for the most part. For cardio I'm running hills and working on fast 3 milers. I think trying to keep up the endurance runs will negate what I'm trying to do about building muscle mass.

If I'm wrong, let me know!
