WLC - Week 1 update

I'm happy to report that even though my first week coincided with Thanksgiving, I was able to lose 5 pounds! I was able to skip the appetizers and dessert. I only had seconds on turkey and sweet potatoes (it was really hard not to). Plus, I only had two sips of wine and mostly drank water all day.
So, now I get to go and purchase my first set of rewards. The best part is that I got gift certificates to Target and Sports Authority for my birthday. So, I get to treat myself to new items and I don't have to take any money out of my pocket. Woo hoo!
This is actually the second week of the 12 week challenge, but I just joined last week (as I already mentioned). In the taped recording of the fisrt conference call, they mostly discussed the rules for the challenge and why drinking a 1/2 ounce per pound of water is good for you. Flush, flush, flush - cleanse, cleanse, cleanse.
During my conference call last week two things stood out for me. One, I learned that woman should have 75 grams of protein a day and two, that most of it should come from plant protein.
I missed last nights conference call so I'll have to listen to it when I get a chance. I'll let you know what I missed.
Anyway, just wanted to share my good news. Say a prayer for me that I can keep this up.
