Weigh-In ....... BAH HUMBUG!

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

So tonight was my weigh-in..... All I have to say about it is BAH!!

It is frustrating since I haven't figured out how to do this yet. Maybe someone reading this could give me an idea.
Oh maybe it would help if you know what I' rambling on about.... I'm having issues because I got a new scale. If you read my post "Scale Explosion" www.sparkpeople.c
om/mypage_public_journal_i
ndividual.asp?blog_id=2167940
it will help explain most of the issue.

Anyway today’s weigh in shows I've lost 3.5 no matter which scale I step on.
The old scale went from 248.5 to 245
The new scale went from 254.6 to 251.1

According to the old scale the total weight lost to date is
***Drum Roll***
34-Pounds!!!

Now since my last track was done before I got the new scale, my weight shows on Sparks as 248.5. Some how I need to figure out how to Keep the weight I lost but get it to the correct weight.... I wonder if – since there is a six pound difference between scales, and I’m pretty sure the new scale is closer to correct, if I upped my start weigh 6 pounds then input the weight reading from the new scale as my current weight if that would work?
Does that even make sense……?

UGH. Anyone have any ideas???? Please and Thank you.

I expected the scales to be a little different, but not a six pound difference between the two.

On the positive side, I definitely lost 3.5 pounds, both scales say agree on that.... I know I broke 250 a week ago on the old scale.... at this rate I will break 250 (again) next weigh in no matter what scale I stand on!!!!!!!!

Ugh, scales. Don't be disheartened! I personally would up my starting weight and change your current weight so that your total lost doesn't change. 3.5 lost is a great week though! And 34 pounds is awesome!! I hope that you had a good night's (day's?) sleep after working for so long - keep taking care of yourself!

High 5 on losing 34 pounds! That is wonderful. Ok here is "my" decision on what you should do about the differences. Do what makes YOU feel good. If you think the new scale is right and you want to put that weight in then do it ... but if the new scale is right, then you have to add 6 pounds to your starting weight ... and that means that you still lost 34!!! count them, 34 pounds!!!!! The number on the scale is really non important ... the number that is important is 34!!! .. you are 34 pounds healthier. That is so wonderful. Ok now I have a problem I need help with. Do you remember Sesame Street? Well I have this tune in my head now .... 34, 34, 34, how many is 34? 34 balloons, 34 cars, 34... birthday ... cakes ... boom, crash!!!! LOL

Up the scale is what I would do to make up the difference. You lost 34Lbs,you are doing so great. Don't let those stupid numbers frustrate you, you have shown us all what hard work and patience can do. Thank You! emoticon emoticon emoticon

emoticon on losing weight! And 3.5 pounds is great!

I think you are right, if you up the starting weight by 6 pounds (which is what the new scale would have said if you had used it back then) and put in the new weight from the new scale now it will keep the total pounds lost.

A total loss of 34 pounds is just wonderful! emoticon
