Celebrating Liberty

Every time I try to get started with Spark People, I become overwhelmed with everything in the site. When I try to read discussions, write in the blog, do the exercises, read the articles, track my diet, track my weight, track my exercise, and socialize, it becomes too much for me to handle.

Add to that developing my website, developing WebCT & Blackboard, Twitter, and Blogspot, and I quickly fall behind on my work and other obligations.

This time, I am going to try to keep it simple. I am tracking exercise because that motivates me. I am tracking weight because it shames me into persistence. I think will try the QuickFire Challenges for a while I might socialize some, but I am going to have to come up with a schedule for that.

Today I will begin the QuickFire challenge, but I think I will adapt part of it to water exercises.

My daughter and grandson will join me for fried chicken and a day at the City Pool. I just cannot deny us a good fried chicken dinner for the 4th, but I did eliminate the heavy gravy, and added lighter veggies.

Time to get busy cleaning house with a twist and shake.

Happy Independence Day! May the fireworks always light up your life.
