Again!!

Monday, July 27, 2009

Well, I went off my diet and stopped walking for almost two weeks! Needless to say, I GAINED weight! This is me right now - emoticon. Today, I am starting fresh for the 50th time! With dieting it has always been all or nothing and I am trying to change this. Today, I am focusing on one meal at a time and one walk at a time.

I know I can do this... I just need to do it!!

Yeah, YAY woohooo small smarter choice substitutions Every step in the right direction counts so count 'em and mark the difference they make. Stop trying to do away with it all at once, just tweak one tiny thing at a time. You got it now baby woohooo

It's OK, we all have done it over and over again and raking ourselves over the coals because of it. Sometimes I ask how come I got the fat genes in the family and not the skinny ones? It seems so unfair at times, but I am the only one who can make it change. I made it through the day thank god, but it might have to be at times 1 hour at a time. I used the meal planner, cutomized it to my meals and have been marking it off as I go. Plus I have to have the 100 cal packs to satisfy the snacking that I know I will never stop, just planned it into my days calories. Be kind to yourself Jennifer, all of us will be here for you, we will all be in this together and support one another.

Losing the "all or nothing mentality" is hard, hard, hard! But the great thing about life is that you can chose to take it one day at a time. Remind yourself at the end of each day that it is over and in the past. Learn from your setbacks and look forward to starting the new day with encouragement and optimism! Hmmm...that was so easy to tell someone else to do, so why can't I!?! Haha! Speaking of, remember you are not on this journey alone emoticon . There's no shame in starting again and again and again.........as long as it takes to reach the goal.

Jenniferk, you seem to be like me, we know what to do but lose motivation after a few days. I need a pause button when I start to think about getting something that is not on my diet. Have you ever gotten the jar of peanut butter out of the fridge and a spoon and started in on it? How many million calories is that?????? Sometimes my head is sooo into it but it doesn't last. We need a secret from those who get it together mentally and keep it that way long enough to make a difference. Agree??? HELP!! emoticon

The good thing about it is you recognized that you can do and starting over is only half the battle! We fall down but we always get back up!
Many blessings and never give up
