p90x day 75 I'm hitting it hard

Saturday, October 03, 2009

This is my last week before my recovery week and I really want to hit it hard. I did great today but I can't believe that my abs still are sore from ab ripper after 12 weeks! I have lost weight with this program but I really believe that it is all fat because I can see some shape in my legs and arms. What I am having a hard time doing is eating enough. I know I'm going to see it on the scale but lately Im not hungry after my workouts.I don't want to put my body into starvation but my body goes through cycles where its really hungry and then its not. I eat good food but i am always low on my fats and not on purpose. I like eating raw fruits and veggies and I rarely use oil in my cooking. Does anyone have suggestions?

    Nuts-good source of fat
Beans-wonderful source of protein. I've found that I love adding black beans cold to a salad to add a southwest flair to it.
Quinoa-has more protein than any other source. Cooks just like rice. Very versatile and easy.
    Chia seeds are excellent too

How about dipping some of those veggies in a vinegrette, or adding some low fat protein to a salad?

Or, how about having some nuts and/or cheese with that fruit?

I made a 3 bean salad the other day that was delish -- full of veggies, beans, and olive oil. Here's a link to the recipe:

I don't know if you belong to the Clean Eats team, but they also have a great cookbook (I stole a bunch of my recipes from them). Laura (HAWGWILD) is that team lead.

I also think flax is a great idea. I know you like to eat high fiber, and flax fits the bill for that as well as healthy fats.

I can't believe I'm giving YOU of all people nutrition tips! You are my P90X heroine, and your results are amazing.

You could add some ground flaxseed to your a protein shake or oatmeal. It's a healthy fat and you get fiber from it too.
I'm on Day 4 of the plan so I'm just getting started. Sounds like you've been doing great. Keep up the good work.
