SP friends make miracles every day.......

Tuesday, October 06, 2009

I'm sitting here wondering where I'm headed. If you read my last blog, I am wanting to head down a new path in my career, but am I doing it? Am I really making those efforts? Do I know where to start? That will all come with time and learning about the industry. but what about the rest of myself? what about my weight loss?

I'm headed in the right direction, at least its not going up!!! But its not the results I want.

I am looking for a new perspective. I have been doing the same thing with very little changes. I'm not going up, and tiny progress downward, but I need more.

I do have some dusty old tricks- and realize that my work outs are what they are until my energy comes back and somehow there are 30 hours in a day.....but until then I think i need to be much more diligent about my food. Any tips tricks for a busy mom??

I want to know your experiences.......what works for you, what doesn't, do you prepare all your own meals for the week, and still make the family a separate dinner? do you eat what your family eats? do you do the mini meals all day long? do you stick to three square meals a day?

what works? I need some fresh golden nuggets, I"m sure there are some out there!! let me know!

Whoo hoo! Go SP! Just logging in here and posting a little makes me feel so much better! Thanks to everyone who has seen my mini-desperation today and sent me messages and goodies your thoughts work miracles!!

lets make miracles together......

I HAVE PLATES THAT SEPARATE (KINDA LIKE CHILD PLATES) I USE THOSE NOW INSTEAD OF A BIG PLATE SO I CAN PORTION SIZE. I GET ALL THE FRESH VEGGIES FROM THE PRODUCE OR FARM MARKET AND I BRING THEM HOME CUT THEM UP AND PLACE IN BAGGIES SO I CAN HAVE THEM READY WHEN THAT URGE TO EAT COMES ON. I LOVE CRUNCHY FOODS SO THIS WORKS WELL FOR ME. I LOAD UP ON WATER WITH A HUGE JUG I HAVE AT ALL TIMES 3L TO BE EXACT REALLY HELPS! ANYWAY TRY TO HELP GOOD LUCK I SURE YOU WILL DO GREAT!!

I don't have kids, but I make dinner for myself and my boyfriend every day. My boyfriend has/ had terrible eating habits and pretty much ate junk all the time until he moved in with me. I only make one meal for both of us, but I try to keep a balance of my "ultra-healthy" meals and his junkier meals. For example I plan to make something like chicken nuggets and tater tots or a frozen pizza about once a wek. Not the healthiest meal on the planet, but definitely better than ordering out. He gets what the junk he likes on ocassion, and I still get my mostly healthy meals. (Plus I get the satisfaction of slowing improving his eating habits.)

I would say one of the things that really works best for me in planning, planning, planning. Every week I plan out my meals for the week (I plan by meal not by day to allow myself some flexibility.), and then make a grocery list and shop of that. At this point it takes me about 15 - 30 mintues to plan my meals for the week and make my list unless I decide to start scouring for new recipes to make, then it takes me a little longer. However I save time in the grocery store because I'm not wandering around wondering what to buy, and I save time during the week because I don't have to sit there debating what to make for dinner and trying to figure out if I have the ingredients to make it (and making another trip to the store when I'm inevitably lacking one key ingredient.)

Hope you can find a way that really works for you!
