Still achey.....

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

I think I may have gotten a mild form of the influenza. I've had both vaccines but I can't figure out any other reason why my whole body hurts. I think the fatigue is a combination of my body trying to get used to a dose of medication I was without for 2 weeks and the flu I think I've caught.

I suppose I could test myself today at work for the influenza but somehow I just don't want a swab up my nose trying to pick my brain. I hate being tested for influenza.

I think my son has the influenza as well because he's been running fevers, says his throat hurts and he's achey as well. Bring on the Tamiflu I guess.....

Thanks. Gavin did come into the office and was tested for both the seasonal and H1N1 flu. Tests came back negative which was a relief. He's been around so many people over the weekend including classmates yesterday before his symptoms were present. Turns out it is just another round of tonsillitis. This may sound bad but I'm glad, at least I know its not contagious, nothing I could prevent and if he gets another round within the year we're yanking those puppies out. This is the second attack of tonsillitis in a month and a half.

I try to get a flu shot every year - I do remember feeling "vaguely sick" a time or two, but never got a really bad case of flu.

I hope you're feeling better very soon.
