I am back and with the will power to succeed!!!!

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Those of you who don't know me I am one of the leaders of Spark Power. I have been absent for a couple of months as I have been tied up with every day issues. But I am back, but not as much as I was before as I realise that I can't be here 24 for 7 as I was before.

But there is one thing that I have come to grips with. I work for a nursing home as a activities assistant. My residents have more will power than I do. They have the will power to just move most days and I don't have the ability to move each day. I don't want to be like them when I grow up so to speak. So I have come to this point in my life that I don't want to be just sitting in a chair and not be able to do anything. I have decided that its high time that I do something in my life than just saying I am going to do something, but just do it.

Since I have been away I have gained back 10 pounds of the 50 I lost. I have fallen and need to get up lol!!!!! So I am up and I am going to do something about it!!!!!!! For those of you out there that think you CAN'T do it you can. All you have to do is imagine yourself in a Wheel chair (like my residents) that are determined that they are just going to LIVE to the next day. All it takes is the will power and the determination that I know that most of us have. So I will get back on track and I will keep on tracking in the right direction.

Carolyn, everything you said is correct. And Marilyn, your right too. One of the things that Spark has tried to teach us is moderation and that also means moderation in how much we give other people. When we put the needs of other people before our own we aren't "doing" it we are just talking about "doing" it. I have heard you both say "you have to put your health first" a lot of times now it is time for all 3 of us to put it into action.

I for one am thrilled and humbled your back with me and Spark Power. I feel your my shoe string that keeps me going. I love you dearly and you know that already. That goes without saying. But I think we both sort of had a burn out stage and I agree with you in not being her 24/7 as we can't help others if we can't even help our self.
