Thursday Morning...

Back at it today...I really enjoy this busy time, but this year I'm actually looking forward to it being over(as long as we make enough loot) so I can get back to feeling completely focused on my healthy living changes. I'm maintaining, but I can tell that I'm just not 100%, but it's not apathy...I'm just trying to make hay, ya know.

Looking forward to today and I'm going to try and get in some much needed cardio, not positive that I'll be able to...but it's at the top of my list. Got my sit ups in, got yesterday's and today's nutrition tracked...now I'm just going to go forward and connect the dots.

My wife and I have been eating dinner in our bedroom, as we are without a tv since giving our old one away -it's weird to be out of a routine...but we are not nearly as cool as the folks that can sit and eat dinner without tv...boy, that sounds kinda lame, but at the end of day, we are both usually pretty shot and we enjoy our shows. But it's been real nice to just hang out in bed together and enjoy eachother's company. Looking forward to the new tv gear arriving tomorrow though too...

I'm so blessed to have the support of my wife, my family and my new Spark friends...JANEY2009, DANCINGCAROL, PROMETHIAL, DIFROMWYOMING, DDOORN, RDY4CHNG25, JSTCHLIN...thank you all, and so many more. You've really helped me to become hopeful that I too can change and be the man I am inside!

    Brrrr...Buddha looks cold!
I totally understand where you're at. I haven't felt 100% this week, either but life is what it is and I had stuff to get done. Tonight was my last final (should have finished school when I was younger instead of now when I'm old and work full time!), and I am really hoping to feel back to 'normal' very soon.
Glad you and the wife can relax at the end of the day. We tend to eat at the t.v., too, which is okay. Your program is exactly that: your program. Whatever works, works!
    Have a great friday!

I concur. Without TV during evening meals I would never get to see some of the stuff I want to. That coupled with a DVR and I'm not getting my brains bashed in too badly.

Besides, the idea it totally takes me away from my food is erroneous in my case. The TV offers that distraction that makes me eat a little slower. I've had periods of time where I didn't have one in my past and I didn't see a meal as a slow thing. Just a fueling stop where the faster the better so I could get on with other things. At least that's my 2 cents on it.

Though the occasional break in routine is good for you. Kind of like when you're traveling and have to make odd choices on places to eat etc. It adds back in some much needed variety that makes the world new again, even if just for a moment. So embrace the weirdness.

We struggle to eat dinner without the TV on too. (We're not part of the "cool club" yet either LOL...although we try to be!!) It is tough to balance a healthy lifestyle with work, life, all the other things we have going on. It sounds like you are doing a great job!
