Old Man Winter Wears Tights

C-C-c-c-cold! Looks like everyone in the state got snow except Walnut Ridge. That’s okay. My son said they did not get enough snow to be pretty . . . .just enough to make the roads dangerous.

I feel the pounds packing on right now. I don’t know how in the heck I am gonna lose my challenge weight cuz I AIN’T goin outside in this. Nope nope nope. I have been sitting here trying to remember what I usually do for exercise when the weather gets this cold. I think the answer is nothing. I have an idea a whole bunch of Sparkies would come down on me if I did nothing, so I need to come up with something. I guess I can start with Yoga. I am getting a little stove up since I quit taking glucosamine, so Yoga should be a REAL workout for the first couple-three weeks.

Well, come on, Old Man Winter, put yer tights on!

    No secret here..I HATE THE WINTER..i take coreg so i stay cold right now i have on 4 pairs of socks..i dont buy nail polish because my nails stay a pretty purple color lol..BUT i have been sucking it up and putting on 2 pairs of gloves (yes i said 2) and still running (well half ass running) at craighead on my days off IF it doesnt rain i dont do cold rain..lol..i have the treadmill but to me thats just an easy way off because i get too hot in the house and then i quite, at least outside it forces me to do the whole hour (ok no force i love jogging).i think we should all pack up and move to florida i think its in the 80's down there today. emoticon

    I also like the Walk Away the Pounds when going outside is out of the question. It's so easy and your energy level will go up...promise

    We have the same attitude about the cold. I do inside workouts with SP and Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Samsone. No one sees my mistakes and I just do what I can. Join the Bootcamp that started today too. It helps.

    Have you had a look at any of the SP work-out videos? I have been doing some of them and I like 'em! Nicole is really good about offering suggestions to modify the exercise if you are not able to do what she is doing. A lot of folks also use those "Walking Away the Pounds" videos that are done indoors.
    I know what you mean about the cold. I run FASTER on cold days 'cause I want to a) warm-up quickly b) get back to my WARM house!
    Don't use winter as an excuse, my friend...
