Why is it that when I get so close to one of my goals I start backtracking? I set a mini goal of getting below 220. I've gotten to 222 and stalled out. I'm self-sabotaging my own efforts. WTH?

I am so confused, irritated, aggravated, and want to go get a cookie.

I start my new field placement tomorrow so I'm sure that's not helping with my mood, I eat when I'm nervous.

I know exactly what you mean and how you feel. I was doing so great there and then I totally ruined my own efforts. Its almost like I am afraid to reach my goals or I just let bad habits overtake me (cause they are just so much easier than good habits!) You can do this! I know you can!

Been there. If you are faltering, go back to basics - water, eating within your range, try to move a little bit. It'll work itself out! So hang in there, because you can do this.

P.S. - Good luck at your new field placement!

It's hard when you're sabotaging yourself, I spent years doing that exact same thing. As a nervous eater, try grabbing veggies or fruits instead of reaching for chips or cookies. Chew gum? Don't keep the foods in your house that are the worst of the temptations...I know it's hard but you can do it. You're at 222, you can SO get under 220. I promise, you can do it. You'll get through the new field placement, all the nervousness will die down, and you can get right back on track. Good luck!
