Size 10..REALLY??

Sunday, February 07, 2010

OK..this is just making my head spin. November of '09 I was busting out of size 14 jeans along with my XL belt.

Fast forward to February '10. My family and I were the crazy ones out in the big ole snow storm shoppin' at the mall. I decided I'd go in American Eagle and check out their new things. The Manager came up and started talking to me and we hit it off. She was running me all over the store picking out clothes for me to try on. She said,"Wow,I'd love to have your figure..and your waist is to die for!" She probably make sgreat sales saying that but I thought- OK...I feel like I could cry! She had me try on a pair of jeans and I didnt bother looking at the size until I tried them on and they fit like a glove. I trotted back to my dressing room after turning around and around then side to side checking out my behind in the mirror-(you all know what I mean,we do it all the time) :) I looked at the size and there starring at me was a number 10!!!! Huh,really? ME? Wearing a 10?? I bought those jeans without even looking at the price....

Today my family and I headed to a different mall and our Daughters(12 and 16) and I went into Hollister. K,I'm big boobed and I had a rear that wouldnt end so I've never really worn Hollister clothes. BUT...hangin' there on a rack in the back..was a pair of dark washed jeans that looked so freakin' cool. I did look at the size this time because I never knew how "big" Hollister went up to. I only know they run small. Tiny boobs and no butt kinda gals(no offense). I bought them without trying them on..and to make a long story short-I tried them on at home and they FIT. Size 11...HOLLISTER size 11! I'll be 36 tomorrow and I can finally wear Hollister jeans. Jeeze..this is too good to be true.

For those of you who get down on yourselves..please don't EVER give up! DO NOT stare at the scales, they'll make you go insane. Take your time. It will happen. If you want to talk, vent, cry or scream--contact me emoticon

Thanks for the support! Yeah,I'd take one look at my scale and if I'd gain a 1/2 pound,I'd be so pissy. So now I don't care what the scale says. Anyways-My Dr.'s scale and my scale are so different. I'd like to be a comfortable 8 and I'll be happy.
I have a pair of slacks that have pinstripes on them and they are so cute on! I'd get sick of skirts too..everyday..lol.

Way to go!. Love the advice about not staring at the scale. That thing is driving me to the brink. Today I am trying on my Loft pinstripe dress slacks... they have been mocking me for a while. Getting sick of wearing skirts to work during a cold IA winter.
