Wednesday Morning...

Good Morning Fellow Sparkers!

My glucose was a bit high this morning @147...not sure why, yesterday was a another good day for nutrition. Had my normal breakfast, healthy lunch and great home made asian chicken salad. I've been having 1 scoop of Isopure Zero Carb protein powder with water for a snack mid after-noon lately to try and make sure to get my calories in....either way I'm feeling good about my food this week, hopefully my weigh-in tomorrow nets me a little action!

Figured out I could just fling one of my resistance bands over my head behind me and use the back of my desk chair to hold it while I do arm/chest press sets and tricep extensions...all by myself. I wasn't sure, so I was glad to find that out...makes it easier to fold in another exercise that I can do without my trainer or my wife.

When I get my cardio in right away in the morning, it makes it more fun the rest of the day to see what else I can do to up the intensity of my exercise for the day.

I've noticed this week, for the last 3-4 days by the evening I tend to feel a little anxious, self-doubt and get these waves of worry...I'm looking at it and trying to identify my feelings as they come to see what could be bringing this on....

I'm going to keep rockin' my spark today! emoticon

    Hi, evening is my anxious time too, last night it helped me to listen to a dharma talk podcast. Some other nights I have to take medicine. I hope you do awesome at your weigh in and it motivates you to keep on doing all those healthy things.     I love my bands too! They are easy to pack and take with me when I travel. Every year my BFF and I travel for Spring Break. I am a morning person and she, not so much. I find that time alone is a great way to get some upper body in and then the walking comes in the rest of the day when we go out and about. I know my sister's blood sugars are elevated when she has anxiety. That may be why yours was up. You are doing great, keep it up, try to just sit back and think about all the good things happening in your life right now. I know we all think you are a good thing for our team and such an inspiration.

    Yeah Janey I really am digging the bands...no big plans. I'm pretty terrible at keeping secrets...but this year for Valentine's I'm doing good so far...I ordered her some yoga clothes from Lucy.com and I have not told her yet....we'll see!

    Aren't resistence bands amazing things? I started the SP Sweat Suit to Swim Suit Challenge in February and most of the daily exercise challenges incorporate the Resistence Bands. I have had a set for a while and never really used them...but now I am learning to love em for both upper and lower body workouts...Seems like they are sparking your exercise too!
