Checking in for Monday Morning...
My glucose was @ 121 this morning...it's really been consistently lower this week since switching up my carbs to mostly fruits & veggies instead of some of the whole grain carbs I was using.
This morning was a little tough to get going...I had to really force myself to get my early morning exercise session in...my wife & I both felt like sleeping. But everyday that I navigate my way through that resistance, I get stronger and stronger.
Yesterday was kind of an interesting food day, here's my break-out:
Pre-Breakfast@4:30am 1/2 balance bar/yogurt honey peanut butter flavor
Breakfast@8:00am 3/4 cup special k protein plus cereal, 1 Blue Bunny Light yogurt/sugar free style/cup of black coffee
Snack@10:50am 3/4 scoop Muscle Milk Light Vanilla Protein Powder w/12oz water
Lunch@1:30pm 1 cup of Egg Beaters, 1/4 cup lean turkey sausage, 1/8 cup fat free shredded cheddar cheese, 1 golden del. apple, 40oz of water
Dinner@6pm Home made Thai Chicken Lettuce wraps/2 wraps, 1/2 cup of mandarin oranges, 32oz of crystal light lemonade
After-Dinner Snack@7:40pm 1 scoop Muscle Milk Banana Protein Powder, 1 Banana, 12oz water all mixed up in the blender and a dash of straight cinnamon on top for garnish, flavor & health.
Nutrition Totals for Sunday:
I've had a few people ask me what exactly I'm eating etc...so I just wanted to share that from yesterday because even though it's way healthy..it ain't birdseed, in fact it was really awesome....
My wife is a super star and I could not be pulling any of this off without her help, she really has gone above and beyond to help with meal prep and her support is incredible. She deserves as much credit as anyone for my success so far.
