How many of us have started a fitness or weight loss program with gusto, only to discover the enthusiasm wane after 2-3 weeks? That sure has happened to me several times. I have been especially stuck in the recliner lately because for some reason, I started gaining after losing for a while. I got discouraged and got lazy. I even started eating things I rarely even sampled in the past, like a half-gallon of ice cream or package of mini candy bars. Those couple of pounds went to 5 . . . to 10 . . . to we ain’t talkin bout it!
I found myself in a failure funk. That is all behind me now. I put on my best shoes and stomped the failure funk away. Something that helped me was Leslie Sansone’s “1 Mile Express.” She makes it fun to walk a mile right in your own living room, and you can do it in 15 minutes. Everyone has 15 minutes, right?
