Tuesday Morning...

Gotta get it crackin' today!

Busy day...lots to do for work. I have a session w/Annette scheduled at 1pm...looking forward to that. Getting a little antsy with this "recovery week" schedule...but I'm feeling rested and not so sore....so more surrendering to win.

I'll have a light lunch before working out...an apple, some chicken veggie soup & a big glass of water and then for dinner we decided on chicken, grilled and cut up over a big salad w/balsamic vinagrette. I'm going to try and fold back in a few protein shakes in between meals today....I let those go for the last week or so.

Not sure about weighing in this coming friday, we'll see...eating more and working out less is more than likely going to equal a gain for me...but in the spirit of balance and taking care of myself, healing up and replenishing...I guess it'll be ok.

    Hi Ryan,

    Keep on the journey. You may be surprised after all when you do weigh. Sometimes in our weight loss efforts we eat too little and that can slow the metabolism right down. Bumping it up a little will go a long ways towards making it all that much easier, and you may find it helps you to kick a few more pounds away. You have good people with you on the journey and you're doing great!

    Try not to worry about the weigh-in. You are doing what's best for your body (and mind). That's what counts. I was relieved that you took a few days to replenish. You said it . . . "Balance."

    There is more ways to measure progress than the scale...maybe time for some new measurements with all the exercising you are doing...or maybe trying on one of those shirts your wrote about previously?

    Happy Tuesday! You'll be fine. Take your rest and recuperate and try not to worry about the numbers on the scale. You're in this for you, for your health and well-being, not for numbers on a scale. Progress comes in many forms. emoticon

    Yup, you might be surprised, and just remember you are in the for the Long Haul, not a short, quick fix. Just accept what the scale says and don't let it define who you are, although that is a hard lesson for all of us that struggle with our weight

    You might be surprised Ryan. Your body needs rest and recovery and it doesn't seem like you have been eating so very much and now you are working out again.
