Saturday Morning...

Saturday, March 20, 2010

Hey Hey Good Morning!

Really had a great morning exercise session yesterday, got outside and walked up and down a hill outside our place for about 30 minutes, felt great...wonderful to be outside and just overall felt more confident about being able to start walking back & forth to the pool once it opens up...Practice, practice...I guess I am training for my own little maraton of sorts...

We dropped my nutrition ranges for the next week, again to see if we can jolt my metabolism into my reserves and drop some pounds. New Ranges:

Calories: 1100-1300
Carbs: 90-120, complex carbs, no breads, pasta or rice-not even whole grain
Fats: 35-40, if I don't hit that and I'm low it's ok
Proteins: 100-120

So here we go...another sprint week, I'm excited though...feeling good and pumped up. Today here in a little bit, Cindy is going to go for a walk w/me and then tomorrow is going to be a pretty heavy session of Interval training mostly w/res. bands. Cindy asked if I could show her how to do what I'm doing, so I'm really looking forward to turning tomorrow's workout into not only a great exercise session but some good quality activity with her too!

Home made low carb chili last night for dinner, tonight we are having boneless pork chops grilled and then put in the slow-cooker w/some spicy sugar free mustard bbq sauce(home-made) and a little old skool potato salad(fat free mayo, yellow mustard, hard-bolied eggs, ground black pepper, celery)...and some crystal light.

That's about it for today...oh yeah I got a message from SparkGuy...he is sending me a signed copy of "The Spark" from when Coach Nicole interviewed me, so I'm looking forward to having something to read away from the computer that is relevant to what's going in my life! Thanks so much Chris!

Have a wonderful Saturday, Ryan

GL with the dropped calorie ranges...I know shaking things up can be helpful sometimes in dropping some extra pounds...!

We bulk up our chili sometimes by adding boiled shredded cabbage, which also drops the carbs as well...yum!

Thx for stopping by my blogs too...! Your encouraging words are ALWAYS so welcome!

Hey Ryan, I agree with MSEVERLAST, we need a page for Cindy to give us all of her recipes. I'm always looking for new things to make. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Keep up the good work!!

That potato salad sounds REALLY delish!

Ummm...Cindy? You should start your own page for the recipes alone! Pu-leaze... I am most positive that the response will floor you because it sounds like you are a great cook!

Congratulations on your autographed Spark book! You are truly making a difference!

Ryan, so excited for you getting OUT and walking around! How cool is that?
I am pushing along...determined to not quit. I wish I were as dedicated as you, though. I still need to get 100% back on plan, I think. My metabolism sure needs a jump start! Have a great weekend.
