Saturday Morning...

Good Morning!

Saturday Morning...started out pretty good, got my sit-ups and walking in early. I'm feeling pretty sore, mostly in my upper back...which is weird, I've never in my life had any muscle strains in my upper/mid back...the only thing I can think of that might have gotten it tweeked is the other day I thought since I did so good getting in and out of my truck, a older chevy trailblazer, that I would try driving Cindy's toyota 4runner, good size vehicle, actually a little higher up...but tuirned out not so much a good fit...YET. So it was kind of...like some crazy yoga pose slash sardine can situation, I had to twist my way out backwards and so maybe I wrenched my back a bit...long story short, my back is hurting and I'm still doing all my stuff..pushing through, just a little slower and trying to be a bit more mindful of how I'm moving.

Cindy is making up these cool little mini quiches, egg beaters, some low-sodium ham...some other stuff...and then just cooked in these mini muffin pans, no crust...individual servings for brunch with our family coming over later today.

Cindy picked up some pansies yesterday and I got them potted up on our porch...we both love seeing the flowers, so it's cool to feel spring is in here. This year we are going to try and follow a plan to just grow grape tomotoes and basil on our porch...limited space,,,but a more focused approach for the stuff we like and use all the time.

Ok cool, I hope everybody has a Smooth Saturday! Ryan

I tried to do a basil plant and failed miserably. Have you guys ever done it?

Happy Easter Ry and I hope you enjoyed your family gathering. Do please take it easy with your back until you are sure that it was just from the driving. Would hate to see you sideline. Take care!

Oh that gives me spring fever. I have peppers started indoors but it will be a while before I can plant outside.
I have had a sore elbow. Not sure why but I just take it easier. Been a little light on the upper body work that works the biceps because that is what bother the elbow. May ask my trainer if it doesn't improve this week. But my point in that is you are doing the right thing. Move forward do what you can and don't worry about being a little slower or off.

I love pansies. I hope you and Cindy enjoy their beauty for many months, Ryan.

I had a similar "yoga" experience getting into my car the other day when someone parked a bit too close to my driver's side. My eventually successful struggle to get in left a sizeable bruise on my arm but I'm just glad I could squeeze through!

    Hi Ryan,

Along with you, Cindy rocks!! She really fixes some terrific meals. I see it as a great sign of love that she is so extremely supportive of you. I hope you both have a wonderful Easter and that your family brunch visit is terrific!

Spring has sprung here too - still too cool over night for anything to be blooming yet but the grass is turning green and the birds have returned. I hope your back heals swiftly (and with minimal pain) and that thing continue to go your way. You work hard and deserve the results.
