So all of a sudden, it's April....

Sorry I have not been around much these past few weeks. But as many of you know, I was given notice I was being laid off on March 1...and March 31 was my last day. The last few weeks have been very busy, passing over my job responsibilities to my already overworked (former) co-workers as well as trying to clean up my resume, get it out on the street, and all the other tasks that go along with starting a job search....plus running around to doctors appointments before I lose my insurance. Additionally, it has been a very emotional time, saying goodbye to many people I have worked with for a lot of years. I tell you...in times like this, you really discover just how much you mean to certain people...but it is very difficult, saying goodbye.
I have managed to stay on my food plan (except for this past Wednesday, when several of my co-workers took me to lunch - ITALIAN! - for my last day and my sister invited me over for a steak and potatoes dinner as well - talk about food plan disaster!) and have done well with the running program (Yesterday I ran 40 minutes without walking! I guess all of this stress is good for something, huh?). But except for coming to Spark to log exercise and food, and read a few blogs and message board posts here and there, I am DESPERATELY behind here at Spark.
I know that I owe a few people PMs and comments...and have not had a chance to go around visiting many SparkPages for Easter/Passover greetings. But please know that this is not because I don't care. The support I have received here at Spark is something I really treasure....and I wanted to make it clear - at least in a blog, that 'out of sight' has most definitely NOT meant 'out of mind'.
In any case, I hope that you all are having a Happy Easter/Passover season, are sticking to your eating programs, lacing up those running shoes, and still pressing PLAY!
Take care everyone!
