Monday Morning, an early one for us...Cindy had to scoot to a dentist appt. at 7:45, and I've got a bunch of work to do. But I got my morning sit-ups and walk in, Cindy whipped up a batch of veggie soup early before she split that is cooking on the stove and we'll have that for lunch. I guess we are having some kind of steak over a big salad tonight for dinner.
Got out and about yesterday some more, we went over to visit my youngest sister's place and her art studio. I've never been to her place since she moved in over a year or so ago, so it just came to me yesterday morning that that might be a nice little adventure. I get nervous going to places I'm not familiar with...but it was great, one decent step-up to walk in through her patio and I was able to take a seat and rest up a little bit inside and just enjoy the visit. I love her so much, her place is straight out of a magazine, very warm, and calming...her art studio is soooo cool. I'm pretty jealous, but so impressed. She is so creative, she gave Cindy this neat vintage flowery pillow case that she had transformed into a light shoulder bag...not student work at all, the real deal...she even has her own brand name labels that she sews onto her stuff. The name of her Art company is Artsy Fartsy, her stuff is in several stores throughout Madison & I think up in the Twin Cities too. But she will be at the Farmer's Market most weekends this year as well as all the primo art fairs throughout Wisconsin. She has an Etsy website where you can also look at some of her stuff...lots of really cool vintage, collage...fun & sarcastic stuff.
Here's the link/address for her online store and a few pics of her stuff:
So another thing I've re-claimed, visiting my family and friends, doing things on the fly...getting out and about and having that freedom back is just so huge for me!
We've pulled our plants inside the last few nights, hopefully we are past the freezing point...I think we might actually grow some stuff instead of kill it this year!
Overall, I'm feeling pretty good...chasing my dreams down one choice at a time...eating my meal plan, consistent balanced exercise, drinking lots of water and getting good restful sleep. Tomorrow/Tuesday at 6pm on the local cbs channel, channel3000.com, they will be airing an update on my progress so far around losing weight, getting healthier and restoring my life.
All the help & support I've gotten has just been incredible and all the grace that people have shown me is beyond words....I really am learning so much about how the world really is and it's so different and so much more kind that what I had always made it out to be. I'm a really, really lucky guy.
Hope everyone has a great Monday! Ryan
