Fitness DVD Don't Buy - 10 Min Solution Kettlebell Workout

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

I bought this DVD about 6 weeks ago, before I was laid off, but decided to do it only today.

What a disappointment! Mostly because...wait for it......

The instructor doesn't even USE A *&%^) KETTLEBELL. emoticon

Now, I don't know about you guys...but when I purchase a kettlebell workout, I expect there to be a...oh...I don't know....KETTLEBELL at least somewhere in sight. But I looked through all 5 of the workouts on this DVD, and the instructor uses a dumbbell in all of them. Every SINGLE one. She never picks up a SINGLE kettlebell. Except, apparently, on the DVD cover.

Now...I already know how to work out with dumbbells, and even if I didn't there are about a million DVDs in my collection which feature them, and serve my needs adequately in that area. The whole reason for buying this DVD was because I wanted to get some specific instruction in the proper use of a kettlebell. My understanding is that there is a particular technique, and that form & technique are very important when using this piece of equipment to avoid injury. Therefore, I bought the DVD so as to get a basic idea of how to handle the thing properly without whacking myself in the leg, putting out my back, etc.

I know. It's a completely unrealistic expectation to expect there to be an actual kettlebell in a kettlebell workout. But nevertheless, that was what I was expecting.

$15, flushed down the toilet.

And people wonder why the only DVDs I like anymore are Beachbody.

Okay...rant over. Just had to get this off my chest. emoticon

That is just beyond perplexing! I want to shake the makers of this and ask why, why, why.

Wow, talk about no truth in advertising. I agree with Simple_Tailor, I think it would be a good idea to send a complaint off to the company, and ask for a refund. You didn't get what you paid for, and you have every right to ask for your money back.

That is kinda crazy. I would invest another 44 cents and write the company.

Did they put the wrong DVD in the package? I can't imagine how they could call it a Kettlebell work-out without a kettlebell. I'd be angry too!

That's insane! Maybe you can get some satisfaction by writing the manufactuer or producer or someome!

That's TERRIBLE!!!! (and kind of funny) To bad you can't return it---or at least complain to the creator!

Thanks for sharing this..I would have hoped that a kettle bell workout would use a kettle bell too. A dumbell just doesn't move the same...oh boy
